Long Island Restaurant Week is Almost Ending!
This is one of my favorite events! Long Island Restaurant Week has begun and now's the time to try all those fabulous restaurants you've always wanted to go to but thought they were too expensive!
I was thrilled to see the list and am happy to say some of Long Island's most highly acclaimed restaurants are participating. Each has their own specials and policy's so read carefully for the places you would like to try and then make your reservations!
One of the places listed on here is consistently rated by Zagats for their quality and imaginative meals, their stunning décor and their impeccable service. I am also a bit partial to it because Feng Shui Long Island and New York had the pleasure of doing a Feng Shui Consultation for them several years ago! Louis XVI is located in Patchogue Long Island New York directly on the water.

Stunning Views
Stunning views, wonderful service and great meals and desserts no matter what you try. They also have a "tasting" menu so you can choose to try several different dining delights---at the same price!
I have eaten in MANY of these restaurants and they all are wonderful! Here's the list of who is participating this year:

What a great idea, letting everyone have the opportunity to appreciate finer dining! (and who doesn't like to eat?! YUMMY!!)
Hi Carole...Lovely decor. What's in the back left hand corner?
How could you have actually "eaten" in many of these restaurants and not be "chubby" like me?
Kate
P.S. I'm being kind to myself.
Hi Carole...Lovely decor. If there is any correlation between how it looks and the food, one would expect a delicious meal.

Oh Carole I am soooooooooooo jealous!!! My mouth is watering now. Food to my liking is not prevalent in the south.
The views and elegance with this restaurant Carole is nothing short of stunning. Great photos.
This looks like a special place with "natural" feng shui! I really like the idea of a tasting menu! I hope you are able to attend. It should be a wonderful event.
Looks like a wonderful place to dine! Just the views alone are outstanding. Thanks for sharing!
Okay....the beautiful restaurants and your advice to try them ALL ( you did say that right?) Well...anyway, if I were there I certainly would try them too!
Carole - What a wonderful event to savor all of the fine restaurants in Long Island. Lous XVI is just so elegant looking. Clue me in...what's in the back left hand corner that I'm missing?
Hmm... I'm a little puzzled by the question regarding the corner, other than there appears to be something on one post - I assume this is the wealth corner, which is open...
Great place - I love that it's on the water!
Carole- Is it that time of year again? Sounds like a great tradition....enjoy.
Hi Carole,
I remember this from last year when you posted about it. I would love, absolutely love to be there. Enjoy for me too. OK?
Carole--What a fun experience! My favorite NYC memories are of the wonderful restaurants. But I do remember many were pricey...good thing I was on an expense acct. What a great opportunity to try out new places/foods at a reduced price!
Carole -grew up on the southern shore of Connecticut, ... so I always notice that little back left hand corner called the Long Island Sound..... any restaraunt on the water is 5 stars for me
Carole,
What a beautiful restaurant! I love french cuisine and the decor is absolutely outstanding.
I was looking at the picture of their back left hand corner and all I can see that may be of some siginificance a small shrine on one of the fence posts or possibly the evergreen tree?
Jo
What a terrific looking restaurant ... outside and in, Carole. But of course; they had you in for a consultation! Restaurant week is a great idea. i don't think we have anything like that up here.
Mara, Both NYC and Long Island have different restaurant weeks and we take advantage of them!
Kate, The back left hand corner is Wealth...there is a very large DRAIN in that area. I have the opposite problem, I have a hard time gaining weight.
Gayle, Oh, I have to say we have the best restaurants here! Any type of food you want and all of it is wonderful.
Gary, This place IS gorgeous. I had to be very careful in making changes because of their Zagat rating!
Joan, It is a wonderful place and I always enjoy these restaurant weeks--here and in NYC!
Carol, It's lovely--most of the seats have a waterview. There were a wonderful group of participating restaurants this year--lots of choices.
Sally, Did I say that? Goodness, I'll have to EDIT. Thank you for letting me know :)
Donna, I was hoping someone would see it. It's the Wealth area, there is a very large drain there.
Deborah, There is a very large drain in that area.......and you got it right, it's Wealth!
Kathy, We're lucky, we have two a year here and in NYC. Good time to try a new place and revisit favorites!
Teri, It really is a great time to try new restaurants and go back to favorites. I love tasting menus where you get to try several things.
James, Parts of Conneticut are absolutely beautiful, I've spent time in many parts while traveling back and forth to an old summer home in Rhode Island.
Jo, It was a wonderful experience. No, I was referring to the drain outside. We think of money going down the drain.
Marie, It was lovely before I got there but thank you! I don't know if you have them upstate--if you don't, maybe they will follow suit. The restaurants I ate at this week were almost full!
Carole- Based on your photographs and description, this restaurant has to be a perfect place to sit and enjoy a meal. Of course, being close to the water with a view makes it heavenly.
Ha! I didn't pick up on the drain, but thought there must be something that required an energy correction.
We recently had our first restaurant week in Phoenix. It was a great chance to sample the local hot-spots at a very nice price. I'm sure the tradition will continue as this one was very well received.
Carole - very nice looking place ... absolutely love the views ... ther is something magic about eating overlooking the water.
What a beautiful place! I bet great weddings are performed there! I love the staircase and the waterviews. How is the food??? Love to see the menu! (the ex chef in me wants to know!)
Hi Carole,
The place looks so lovely. The views of the water would make eating there that much more enjoyable I am sure. One day I am going to get there....to New York that is!!
Carole - That is such a great addition to the community. Dining with a magnificent view can't ask for more.
Every year I say I'm going to try the one in Manchester or Boston. Haven't made it yet though!
Great pictures....what an elegant spot!
Eloise, The restaurant is stunning! It's always on the top of Zagats for food, service and decor!
Deborah, There was that and a few other things, mainly the cash register placement (which I should have taken a photo of).
Chuck, I loved Phoenix on a visit there and found some wonderful places to eat---I'm glad you have Restaurant Week, I always enjoy it.
Kathy, Dining there is just gorgeous, day or night. And when the sun sets :)
Fernando, They have a huge separate room for weddings and banquets. You would love the food---and the menu is always changing!
Trace, Oh, I think you would LOVE New York. Come in the Spring, it's absolutely gorgeous---and call me ahead so I can meet you!
Jennifer, It is a wonderful place. They just built condos which are lovely only a block or so away and they all have waterviews. They are just beautiful!
Joan, Oh, I LOVE Boston! Long before we had Legal Seafood here they had it in Boston (2 of them at last count)! I used to go there every year and have been missing getting up there.
Carole - I'm sure the food is fabulous at that restaurant, but that view would make even a grilled cheese taste great! Absolutely beautiful!
Linda, That's so funny, I don't think they serve grilled cheese :) It IS a gorgeous restaurant and restaurant week is the time to go!
Carole - I absolutely love the staircase. What a beautiful restaurant...I can see why it is rated #1 in decor.
Any chance to get out together and see what the area has to offer works for us.
Chastity, It's a fabulous place--definitely one of the best restaurants on Long Island!
Dan, I love Restaurant Week---getting to go back to favorites and try new places.
