I already KNOW I don't think like many people; I don't think I ever did. I am, though, a strong believer in SIGNS, those things that come along to you that people pass off as "coincidence" or just chance. I also don't believe in Coincidences.
A Sign of Abundance:
"A Penny saved is a penny earned." "Find a Penny pick it up, all day long you'll have good luck."
Ever wonder why there are so many quotes about Pennies? Oftentimes we are so busy in our day to day lives of trying to get everything accomplished on our "to do" lists, we overlook the simple things. Many times we don't see the significance in the little things that come our way because we don't believe they are important
How often have you looked down and seen a penny? And walked right by it? Because, after all, it's only a penny and doesn't really amount to anything. Yet some of you WILL bend down to pick up a quarter. Are you seeing these important signs for what they are?
It doesn't matter the amount, be it a penny or a quarter, what you are coming across is sheer abundance. It's likely if you walk right past that penny, a quarter will never materialize in your life; or more significant amounts, for that matter. We are ignoring what has been given to us.
A perspective relating to Feng Shui and Money (Wealth) is to recognize that every time we come across any amount, it is significant. It was put there for us to find, pick up and thank the universe for sending it to us. With the intention that more often then not, more will follow. We forget to be grateful sometimes and we forget that it is, truly, the "little" things in life that add up and make us who and what we are.
A recent example of finding pure abundance came when I was outside blessing a building a client was looking to purchase a building. They wanted to put in a very different type of business from what had been there and even I couldn't figure out how to deal with the two distinct energies they were trying to create. Their heart and souls were into the purchase of this place and as I was walking the grounds and doing an exterior blessing, I came across eight quarters which had been outside of the property, neatly stacked on top of one another.
A sign of abundance that they would do well there? You bet. I was excited to go back inside and tell them of my "find." And my client related that he had been finding a lot of change the last few weeks. He'd just found his new location and had a significant "sign" that he would do well and prosper there.
He called me tonight, the extensive renovations were finally completed and I am excited to go back and see his new environment. And know that he found the place he was meant to have and created it to what it has become, although it was a challenge.
The next time you're walking down the block and find a penny, stop and think. And instead of just passing it by, take a moment to stop, pick it up and send out blessings for the sign of abundance you might have passed over before.
What about the "other" signs? There are SO many we're offered, not just relating to wealth but to people, pets, others we have loved. I am thinking about this tonight because of another "sign" sent years ago on Easter Sunday. My father was a Lt. Colonel in the Air Force and served during the time Clark Gable was there making a documentary. My father was just in very short clips of it; the whole "movie" was less than an hour. My mother was here for dinner and rushing me, she wanted to get home and see 20/20. She heard it was going to be about WWII but didn't know anything else.
She got home in time and had kept encouraging me to watch it so I left the cleanup for later and caved in. Well, it wasn't just on WWII, it was on the Air Force in WWII (are you guessing it yet?). They showed a short clip of "Combat America" while discussing Clark Gable in the war and it happened to be a clip of my father getting out of the B-17, apparently thrilled to be on LAND again. A coincidence? No, an absolute sign to us.
I am a fan of John Edward, I have been in the Gallery once and have seen him at Westbury, Long Island a number of times; he astounds me. He says that you are sent signs ALL the time. If you don't pay attention, they will stop coming. Do you believe in them?

Hi Sheron, I HAVE heard that but think it's only bad luck if that's how you perceive it....I pick them ALL up, I see them as signs of abundance!
Lizette, if you like signs there is a book about animals and what they mean that you might like. It's called "Animal Speaks" (but I forgot the author). When I was doing that Community service project I got mice---I am TERRIFIED of mice. I looked it up and "with their beady little eyes, you are being scrutinized." Boy, was I ever :)
Thanks for finding this post of yours, Carole ! I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. It is a beautiful post filled with knowlege and wisdom.
I hadn't realized that about finding coins meaning 'abundance' before.
You may find what I am about to tell you quite interesting. I have some native ancestry both on my Mother's side (Cree) and on my Father's side (Mohawk). My animal totems or animal medicine are the Crow and also the Red Tailed Hawk. These are the two significant animals in my life that have guided me at various times throughout my life. Somehow I can understand their language.
There are many animals that will make unusual appearances in your life at various times throughout your life. These are, as you said, 'signs'. They have come with a message. Each animal represents a different thing or sign. Not long ago I had a Robin who continually tried to get into my living room whenever she saw me sitting there. Then when I would go to the bedroom and be sitting at my computer, she would come to my bedroom window ledge and again be trying and trying to get to me through the glass.
Robin medicine stands for a 'great change coming' . It was shortly after that when I was contacted by my friend from long ago, the one who I previously wrote about. The story will continue into time. Yes, a great change.
I liked the mice story. Lol.
Well, here I am writing a whole post in the comment section of your blog !!!
thanks again,
Jo
Jo, I have cards on animals called Animals Speak...is that what you're referring to? Or is this something different? I know every animal means something different and Lizette Fitzpatrick would LOVE your version of Robins, she had nest on her Front Door! I love Native American philosophy and when I went to Sedona, I felt like I was "home." I loved it there and learned a lot about Native American beliefs (not so dissimilar to Feng Shui). I was fortunate to walk the Medicine Wheel and it's the very first time I heard of Feng Shui!
I'm posting Lizette's blog here in case you see it. She found a garter snake as well....animals all around her! And I'll have to post for her to let her know to read your wonderful Robin Story....I love the thought of big changes coming, what a thrill! The Kentucky Robins That Moved Right On IN
Thank you SO much for sharing that!!
Thanks Carole - I have been practicing the gratitude of a penny found. It's such an old thing, I remember my grandmother saying that it was lucky to find a penny.
"find a penny, give it away............."
I have come to love the concept of the intention involved - the finding & giving away in my mind is the intention of flow. Money is 'currency' (current), movement, universal abundance & flow.
....& connection! Often when I find coins I give them to the next person I meet. They are are usually surprised because we are total strangers, but we've connected. Universal abundance.
Animal Speak by Ted Andrews is available at Amazon.
I've looked at this book a few times but have not bought it.

Carole - I'd like to know more about your "blessing" of a building... will you share?
Thanks!

Thanks for providing the link to Lizette's robin post, Carole. I enjoyed reading it.
I really don't know what the cards are of which you are speaking. Perhaps they take their info from native american wisdom and animal medicine.
Do you have a member of the animal kingdom that is a recurrent theme in your life or played an unusual part in your life prior to a great change ?
I believe all things have a spirit. Especially rocks and trees. Old trees will speak to you differently than a young sapling. Have you ever noticed that? Old trees are comforting. They give a peaceful feeling.
I have a very special ancient rock in my living room that I found in an old cedar swamp many years ago. It gives off a special type of energy. It is shaped like a pyramid. Here is a picture of it:
I hope your Sunday was a peaceful and happy one, Carole.
Jo
Hi, I don't know who wrote about Universal Abundance but I absolutely believe in giving back one way or another. I pulled together a very big community service project last year and because their name got out, they are still getting help and donations! It's a wonderful feeling.
Debbie, thanks for the question. I can't share what is in the blessings but they are passed down verbally in Feng Shui from Mentor to Student and because they are Transcendental and considered sacred, require an exchange of energy which is one of the reasons we use the red envelopes. One is an interior blessing to remove "predecessor energy" or the energy of former occupants and the other is and Exterior blessing to clear the land and make that space their own....They are VERY powerful and I have seen in many cases things change overnight for clients---not all the time but often enough that after all these years they still amaze me! Thank you for asking me about them.
Jo, the cards are taken, I believe from Medicine Cards...but these are specifically for animals. I can't think off the top of my head if I've seen a particular animal before changes, I would really have to think about that---
As for the trees, it's odd that you mentioned that. I was in Fire Island with my daughter last week and there were some older trees there....something I wouldn't normally take a picture of but they were amazing to me. I am going to post it whenever I get to do that blog, Fire Island is a lovely place. That rock is absolutely incredible! I believe that every has an energy to it as well and wonder where it came from, do you know? I would love to know what gives it that "glow." I have a "special" rock that I keep in my front room that I found and lugged back home because I loved it! Thank you for your lovely responses.
Good morning, Carole
I look forward to seeing your post about Fire Island. I am a HUGE tree afficianado. From my windows I see no less than 33 trees and I have two huge trees growing right in my living room ! One is a Hibiscus which blooms year round and is almost up to the ceiling now and the other is a Norfolk Island Pine which is equally large.
My living room is like a tree house actually, all of the windows look out into trees. Very nice on hot summer days since the windows face west, so it stays nice and cool in here.
My rock is an aberrant traveller that likely came from somewhere way up north during the ice age when the glaciers were on the move. It got deposited in that old cedar woods/swamp along with another one like it (which I also had the young man who I was showing property to that day carry to my car- actually he offered, since he could see how in awe I was of these two rocks ). I gave one of them away to my earliest mentor in real estate, a top agent around here who loves to garden and he loves to have rocks in his garden.
I kept the one in the picture and whereever I move to, it comes along with me.
I love rocks. Whereever I go I find a small one as a keepsake. They are on top of my china cabinet and when I hold them I get back the feeling I had in the place where I found them.
I'm glad to hear someone else lugs rocks home too. ((-: Frankly, I am not surprised it is you .
