What Can a New York Feng Shui Consultant Learn about Life?

New York City ALWAYS amazes me!  Manhattan has it's own special charm and appeal and you can meet some pretty wonderful people.  I certainly of met my share but I'm not sure if I've met any as wise as this New York City cab driver,  What a New York Consultant can learn about Life.  Wise Words for all to read.  Thank goodness for our special Manhattan cab drivers : )

I came across this message sent to me in an email.  Rarely if ever does anything strike me as being so true and I LOVED this inspirational story.  I went to look for it on the Internet and soon I found it.  I have always believed I learn as much (if not more) from others as they learn from me and apparently many others do as well.

I enjoyed every second of it and believe you will as well.  It is reprinted with the owner's kind permission to allow me to share it.  New York Feng Shui Consultants always have something new to think about---and so do you!  Catch this article and let me know if it struck a nerve with you the way it did with me!

Carole ~ If a New York City cab driver can do it, I guess I can to!  Nice post and I like the Law of Garbage Trucks.

Carole,

That is great post and a phemon article.  Some days I have the attitude of the taxi driver (I just let it all flow off of me) and other days it can all sink in (like taking their garbage) and it is so draining and can be depressing.  I strive to have that attitude every day - that is a great piece of writing and simple.  It all comes down to perception.  I also believe it comes down to who people surround themselves with - I shared that in the post Who do you Surround Yourself With - let me know what you think.

Thanks for sharing that !

Hi Carole - I read it and loved it. When people flip out like that man did in the story, I tell myself that I don't know what is going on in his or her life. Maybe a spouse just walked out. Maybe a child died. Maybe his best friend just got diagnosed with a terminal illness. What do I know about why this person is going nuts? I assume there's more to the story that I just don't happen to know.

But the No Garbage Trucks approach is one step further, because not only does this guy "let it go", but he pretty much wishes them well. That's amazing, and worth emulating as much as possible.

I'm glad you shared this with us!

Great story Carole, that you make room for the good by letting go of the bad. Many don't practice this but it works.

Carole - thank you for posting an ispirational story from a great cab driver.  I went to Manhattan about three years ago and the cab ride from the airport to the hotel was the scariest ride I had ever been on.  Not only that but he was the rudest, meanest man I had ever met.  Thank you for letting me know that they are not all like that!  Great post as always!

Hi Carole,

Thank you for this wonderful post and sharing this article with us.  I know how much people carry within themselves often in my work I see it all of the time.  I am sure you experience that too, sometimes.

I lvoed the story of the Garbage Truck.  I have often thought of it from the perspective of I wonder what they are carrying or who knows what traumas they have in their lives that have not been resolved.  Like Feng Shui, you need to get rid of the bad and let the good energy flow through your home and even you.  Thanks again for sharing this story with all of us.

Have a Colorful Day!

Dear Carole, I believe that a day is wasted without learning something. I believe there are two things we leave with when our bodies give way...love and knowledge. I never want to quit loving or learning.

Thank you so much for what you bring to the table.

Joan, Someone sent it to me in an email and I loved it...so I found it online and got permission to post it.  I kept thinking "only in New York" :)

Kathy, I've had some super nice cabbies and a few I told to stop the cab and ran for my life---he got one terrific one, lucky guy!

Chris, Thanks, I loved it too.  It is very important who you surround yourself with, when negative people are around us they just drain our energy.  I put limits on it a long time ago when it really started to affect me physically.

Mary, I usually think the person who flips out is just looking for a reason...and a person!  Or have some anger management issues but it's their issue, not  mine.  Funny that we were always told to wish them well and I try (but not always successfully :)

Gary, It sure does--I always just wish people that get so angry could join a gym or something healthy to vent in!  Ah, what a nice thought :)

Cristal, I know exactly what you're talking about, some of them are awful and I have no problem reporting them (not that I think it does any good).  You couldn't have stopped on your way there but if I'm in the city and get one of those, I ask them to stop, pay them and get out.

Irene, I loved it too, I don't usually try to track someone down to ask them if I can use their article but this was SO true.  Gotta love that cabbie!

Deb, Gee, I couldn't live without those things either, I love to learn and KEEP learning....when it's something I am interested in.  And love of course...there are so many wonderful people everywhere who find us or we find them-somehow.

Carole,

This is great!  Thanks so much for sharing this....it really is true and follows what I believe that what other people do is 99.9 % about them and their own issues, and not about us at all.

Carole:  I've bookmarked the link about the No Garbage Trucks so I can go back and read through it more thoroughly.  It occurred to me that I am not against Garbage Trucks per se, just the garbage!  LOL   If we didn't have garbage, we wouldn't need the truck.  :-)   I'm off to read more.  I am a staunch believer in "no garbage" and "de-clutter", oh what a wonderful feeling to clean house, mind, body and spirit.

Carole- I read your post the other day and shared it with a fellow blogger.  She also shared it with several people.  I think we should require Garbage Trucks to have back up signals though so we at least know they are coming towards us so we can prepare!
