Feng Shui Long Island's Blog

Hi All!

Thank you, Val, for getting me back into this site!  If I could figure out how to invite people (or accept them for that matter!) I would use it more often.

I'm afraid to asked what I missed, though I see the site has grown SO much!  How wonderful that is.  I believe finally Realtors are becoming more open to both Feng Shui (Thank goodness for The Secret :)! AND Home Staging which is so necessary in this market.

Feng Shui hit the West Coast more then 10 years ago but it took awhile for everyone to realize that it just wasn't the "Fad" they claimed it to be; because it works!  And the interest grew.  Thank goodness it is no longer just a passing fad, it is here to stay!  And the same thing will happen with Home Staging, it's going to grow by leaps and bounds; I truly believe that.

How nice to have a place to go to share ideas, help eachother and get started whether you're new or old to Home Staging.

As soon as I learn how to navigate this site, I will surely be posting more and hope to be able to invite many of you!

Thank you and many Blessings,

Carole: I'm glad you made your way back to AR too or I would have missed out on all of your great posts that help me understand Feng Shui a little more.  As you can imagine, it's not a big thing here in the Georgia mountains yet.  I watched home and garden a couple of weeks ago where they placed a huge amoire right next to the bed.  Now I could just "feel" how wrong that was, let alone see how dumb it looked.  I actually did that once, and it only lasted one night.  The feeling was horrible and I didn't sleep well at all.  HGTV did that  demonstration on purpose to prove a point and I think they did.

Hi Donna!  I had signed onto AR and then got so busy I didn't come back to it for months...I didn't realize then it wasn't as well known all over the US as it was here.  A large amoire "towering" over you while you're trying to sleep or relax would feel very threatening from a Feng Shui perspective.  I'm not suprised you felt it, though!  The rules actually do make a lot of sense when you become familiar with them.  Thank you for your comment.
