Hiking New Zealand's Kepler Track with Feng Shui Consultant Laura Cerrano

In the past two weeks I have had the honor of exploring the two majestic islands of New Zealand.  For this particular post I'm highlighting the Kepler track (one of the great walks). The Kepler Track is located in Fiorland National Park along the far west region of the South Island.

The Kepler track is a 60 km loop that takes you through lush forests, lakes and through the Alpines. Because your in an Alpine environment, its important to remember you could be exposed to heavy rain, snow, and freezing temperature. Due to this, wearing waterproof gear and having solid trekking boots is vital. Trampers can stay in 4 huts along the way or camp in designated areas. It's recommended to embark on this Great Walk between October through April. And what about the fitness level?? Yes, you need to be fit because you are trekking for about 4-6 hours each day. This also depends on the level of your personal fitness, the weather conditions, and the distance between each hut. Also, keep in mind, you'll be responsible for carrying in all your supplies and carrying out any remaining rubbish from your trek. This means, you'll have an additional 30-40lbs on your back.

For those interested in exploring the world of Sacred Geometry, the image of the fern you see above is the PERFECT example. To learn why, click on Plants That Teach Us Sacred Geometry At Its Finest. This is also a great reminder to pay attention to the smaller species that lay within your immediate environment.

Aldo and I didn't get to fully experience the Kepler Great Walk all the way due to the limited time we had in New Zealand, but I'll be happy to share one of the Great Walks we did complete in its entirety in a follow up post.

And all I have to say is OMG!  Patience, gratitude, amazing sights, soreness, exhaustion, simplicity, and so worth it.
