Jim Henson Exhibition: Imagination Unlimited at Skirball in Los Angeles

When I was born, Sesame Street was booming!! And still is! Along with Kermit the frog and his whole Muppet show crew. So when my fiance' and I heard the Jim Henson Exhibit was at Skirball in Los Angeles, CA it was a no brainier! We needed to go and indeed we did!

The story of how Jim Henson's creations came to be is AMAZING!! It seemed every year, even from his early stages of childhood, to early adulthood, and beyond was a never ending machine of imagination brought to life! Honestly, you just need to see the exhibit with your own eyes and feel the energy of his work.

After seeing the exhibit we rented the Dark Crystal from a local library and wow! The movie still holds up. Below are some photos I snapped of the exhibit.

Who's this guy?

Do you know who this is? Hint: he's from the Dark Crystal

And if you stand in front of him, you'll surly feel the energy he represents. It's pretty intense, no joke.

If you happen to be in Los Angeles, CA please do yourself a favor and check out this exhibit. It's up until September 1st, 2018. P.S. Skirball is FREE every THURSDAY!!

Great photos, Laura.  I doubt my kids would have managed growing up, had it not been for Jim Henson and Kermit the Frog.

I hate to admit it but I grew up on Captian Kangaroo. Even Mr. Rogers was after my time Laura Cerrano BUT I still enjoyed catching Jim Henson's work on occasion.

I am so happy to hear that Sesame Street is still a big hit, Laura! That was a favorite of my boys when they were little...and that was a long time ago! ;-)
