62nd Annual Easter Sunday Vintage Car Show in Garden City NY

For Easter Sunday, I spent the day with family checking out vintage cars in Garden City, NY and later enjoyed some hibachi! My father is a huge fan of classic cars and this type of event always brings a smile to his face. At the same time, I receive a free lesson in classic car identification.

Do I have any favorites? Well, for sure!  Have you heard of the Volkswagen Vans? These classic vans are on the top of my list for style and the symbolism of FREE SPIRIT of travel, adventure, and exploration!

Another nice addition to this event is the car parade. For one hour, the vintage cars drive down Franklin Avenue in Garden City, Long Island New York to show off their looks. As a bonus, some drivers throw candy toward the onlookers.

If you have never attended this type of event, please do! Its free for you and if you have a vintage car and wish to participate, there is a fee. You need to check the official Garden City Chamber of Commerce website each year to date, time, and fees.

How fun! I have only ever been to classic car shows where you have to walk around and look at the cars. It would be fun to have them drive by.

Love the VW Bus. A family that lives around the corner from me has one they have completely restored.

Hi Laura,  Sounds like you had an amazing Easter, spending time with family and enjoying a vintage car show.  The VW bus is one of my favorites too.

Good morning Laura.  That must have been one fun day seeing all that history driving down the street.
