Great White Sharks Spotted in Provincetown Feasting on The Carcass of a Minke Whale

This may not be a pretty sight, yet its part of the circle of life. Two great white sharks were spotted by vacationers (including my friend and I) off the coast Provincetown, MA on August 11th, 2017. The narrator of the Whale Watch Dolphin Fleet said, "in my 31 years of doing this work, I have never seen this before."

It's one thing to see Great Whites on TV and its a whole other surreal experience to see them only a few feet from where you are standing on the boat. Our emotions and thoughts? Intense, excitement, amazement, and respect. This is how our whale watching tour started out and then mid-way and toward the end we saw amazing views of about 25 - 30 whales. Some were diving deep to fish, some where skimming the surface to eat, and others were breaching the water. Some even came right up underneath the boat to say 'hi!'

I feel very said for marine life... since there is so much pollution and it is difficult for those beautiful creatures to survive...
