There is about 70 miles worth of trails to explore! We didn't have enough time to even get into the depth of this amazing vast park, yet what we did explore was pretty impressive. To start, our hike begain at 4,500 feet in elevation with the otpion of climbing to 10,064 feet to summit.
Many of the trees in this region are over 300 years old.
This is a must on your places to hike when visiting California.
Be sure to bring a day pack with snacks and a water bladder. It would be wise to start your hiking adventure early when trekking these trails. You also have the option of staying overnight in small Sierra Club ski huts spread throughout certain trails.

Hi Laura-Mt. Baldy looks like a great place to hike, I need to check it out!
Laura,
It is a beautiful area, and we have been there both to ski and hike. There is an area with enormous flat rocks, and one of my memories is laying on them and soaking up the sun on a cold day. A
Great advise Laura Cerrano. That looks like a challenging trail!
Make it a great weekend!
Great area. My team has done many a mutual aid search up there.
