11 Days Till 2016 Arrives! - Feng Shui Tip Of The Day - Prepare Your Bedroom For Rejuvenation

The bedroom is among the top most important rooms within your home because it symbolizes and literally provides a sacred space to rest, rejuvenate and reconnect with self and your loved one.  Here are three fast simple tips to consider when preparing your home to welcome in the new year of 2016!

1. When possible, having two night stands symbolizes balance.

2. Do your best to address some artwork and objects in pairs. This symbolizes a stronger connection with yourself and partner (if that is the current experience).

3. It's recommended to have neutral, earth tone, beige or cream colors or touches of light sage greens and soft greys to be the wall color and if not, you could include one or some of these recommended accent colors throughout your bedroom furnishings. These colors help ground your energy and not over stimulate it.

Your tips on colors make a lot of sense to me, Laura. Thinking of having artwork in pairs is a new thought to me.

Oops, I should have read this before we set up our bedroom, I think we got it all wrong, yet it seems to work.  But then I could sleep just about anywhere.

Good morning Laura. This makes an awful lot of sense to me. I do like the earth tones as we are tied into Mother Earth

Hi Laura... so happy to know I'm hitting all of your recommendations. My bedrooms are always neutral and I'm very big on balance, so always pair up pictures, bedside tables, lamps, etc. Thanks for a great post!

Good morning Laura. I don't think you would like my bedroom. It is red but muted and it works.

Good morning Laura Cerrano ,

I caught your post Kathy Streib 's light bulb moments for the week and your post is most excellent. This room does give off a feeling of calm and peace fullness..I do have art work in groupings of 2 and like the arrangements they seem to be in the right symmetry and I the same goes with our night stands they give off balance.

I really don't know much about this topic yet realized that my bedroom follows all of those rules above.  :)

Laura Cerrano wow, did not know about the balance when there are two lights on either side of bed.

Q: If it is only on one side, does that mean that partner is 'heavily' loaded with more work?

I nailed the bedroom advice! My walls are painted a medium sage green, which is very comforting, and I have two night stands for balance, and pairs of artwork. Now on to read your other posts; it looks like an interesting series.
