Best Hiking Spots In California - Angeles National Forest - Santa Anita Canyon

A great day hike or longer trek spot to check out when in California is Angeles National - Forest Santa Anita Canyon trails. Unfortunately due to the drought, the beautify display of various water falls and places to swim have become slim.

None the less, hiking this beautiful forest is well worth it.

During our day hike we came across some cliff jumpers.

The trails are easy to follow. During this hike we did encounter a lot of pesky bugs. They didn't bite, but they were always buzzing in your ear and around you. With that in mind, bug spray or at least a head net may be worth carrying along.

When it's time to refuel your body or certain supplies, you can stop off at the pack station.

Across from the pack station you can visit with some local friends!

Also, great waterfall picture, I am sure that pool at the bottom would make a great place for a cool refreshing swim.
