Which front Entrance should I use? by Feng Shui LI

In the past two days I received phone calls from Youtube viewers asking the same question. "I have two main entrances leading into my house, which one should I use when laying out my space according to the Ba-gua?" This can be a tricky set up but if you follow the Feng Shui principles and your own intuition, all will fall into place.
The above diagram illustrates a Harlem NY brownstone apartment layout. Most brownstones give you the option to have a front and 'back' entry point. The easiest way to locate the main entrance from a western perspective of Feng Shui is to recognize what door you always choose when entering into your apartment. That is reading the energy and listening to intuition.
Another option is to utilize the compass method of Feng Shui. Using your date of birth, combined with your personal auspicious direction will help you find the entry point into your home. Feng Shui has so many methods you can utilize individually or blend together, so it's best to investigate and try them out to see which works best for you.

Layout of a Westchester New York home with possible two front entrances
This is another example of having two front entrances. This is a layout of a house in Westchester NY. The situation is that they have an enclosed porch but once you turn right, you face the actual front door that leads into the entire house. So which entrance should you use to start laying out your space according to the Ba-gua?
Traditionally you should use the actual front door that leads into the home but if intuition says that does not feel right then switch to the entrance that leads into the enclosed porch. But ideally you would use the actual front door entrance. If the porch was not there, that would be what you use to layout the space.

Laura, Very interesting. It has to feel right like you say. Glad you are there to help them.
Laura very interesting and intuition plays a big part.....I wonder if most people are in touch with intuition. Some have it, some want it, some wonder what it's all about, some think it's bunk. You know what camp I'm in:)
Having never been to NYC, and certainly never stepped foot inside a fabled "brownstone apartment" I find that layout and floor plan very interesting. I like the concept of two entrances and would love to see for myself just how the flow flows!
I almost always turn right so right side for me. I wonder if that's because I'm right handed. Intuition is a friend of mine and so I stay in close attention.
Good Morning Ladies... Very interesting post... we have four entrances into our house... now I'm going to wonder which one I should enter... Kidding Kidding... I always enter through the garage because that's the easiest, hope it sends me great energy... but I have tons of that sooooo I guess I'm doing it right.... Happy Day!
This is a good subject to discuss Laura. After the initial first impression curb side, this will be the next most important impression of a buyer. Positioning it well can make all the difference.
This is very interesting Laura. We have never seen a brownstone except in the movies. Now we will be watching more closely.
