Feng Shui Long Island's Blog

Do you have 10 minutes to spare?

Noemi really nailed this post very well! Be thankful for all that you have AND what you don't have. There are usually reasons for what we have in our lives and much of it equates to how we think. Under our excuses and frustrations, tt's like St. Paul said, set your mind on the things above!

Love and light,

Laura

Today's blog will be short and sweet.

Can you take 10 minutes before you start your day and write down or think about the 10 people or things you are most grateful for in your life?

As you do, let's go wild and take one whole minute, think how good they are, or how good your life is because of it. The thought will bring you a warm feeling, hold on to it throughout the day. I can almost guarantee this is going to be a great day!

If you have a chance, let the people on your list know that they are important to you. A quick call, an email, or a text message will sufice. Just say 'I love you', or 'I am glad you are in my life', or 'Your friendship means a lot'.

So here we go, I AM GRATEFULL FOR.....

Now that's a powerful message.  Great job on reflecting on what is important most in life.

Hi Laura, I like that you re-blogged this. Noemi's idea is an excellent one and I am going to try this. I already do it in a way but I don't select 10 and that will make a positive difference.

Laura, thanks for the re-blog. Yes, attitude of gratitude works - first hand experience for me.

Laura, This is a beautiful reblog. You, Praful and William are special people that I am grateful for. Don't think I am going to call those other 7 at this time.

Laura, my day always goes better when I remember to do my gratitudes before getting out of bed in the morning. Thanks for the reminder to do 10 - I don't always count...

I try to do this as much as I can, it's a great habit to make and definitely puts you in a right frame of mind to be productive all day long.

Hi Laura,

I try to do this but this is a great reminder. I try to send Hallmark cards to my mother-in-law weekly and my dear friends and family for the holidays but the rest of the time it is usually email. I know email is cold so I always put a greating..Hello Jane, Good Morning Mike, etc. that way it is more personal. I like you post and tomorrow morning I am going to try to follow it and call 10 people and say hello and tell them how important they are to me. Happy Sunday!
