Do you have a Lucky Cat? you should consider adopting one: post by Feng Shui NY consultant
Lucky Cats, also known as "beckoning cats" are very easy to maintain. They never make a mess and you never have to feed them :) They are lovable, kind, do not make a sound and best of all, are great with children! When the kids come across a lucky cat, they are immediately drawn to it and become instantly happy :)

You can adopt your very own Lucky Cat at any store that sells Asian based goods. These little fellas do not even coast all that much. Prices can range from $12-$25 depending on the size lucky cat you wish to adopt. In fact majority of Asian businesses, from retail to restaurants, have a "lucky Cats" by the front entrance to help welcome in new customers and positive energy.

If you are a teacher, perhaps you can place a lucky cat in your classroom to help welcome all those eager young minds every morning. When its time for testing, let your students know the lucky cat wishes them luck! :)
Be sure to adopt a Lucky Cat for your home, office or even Classroom to enhance that positive Chi :)

Hi Laura... I am allergic to most cats, but the lucky cats never seem to bother me. The sushi bar next to my office building has one... is that close enough to help me?
I have a 4 legged, living, breathing, short hair tabby. Does that count?
Will it help overpriced listings.. I did sell one that had a cat like that.... hummm
Maybe there will be a booming business in these cats.
It's a cute Idea.....I've seen them around - one of these days I'll have to go to chinatown again! :)
I've seen a few sushi restaurants that had them EVERYWHERE - I finally had to ask! I don't get sushi restaurants with goldfish tanks, though - seems kind of cruel....

Steve, sure, just walk on by and wave to that lucky cat :) When I get the pics to up load I have examples of various lucky cats you can purchase :)
Mike, Yes that does, you can nickname your cat "lucky cat" haha :)
Marjorie & Doug, Yes they can have the potential to help bring in new home owners looking to buy or even sell, it all depend on what you wish you lucky cat to do for you :) Great observation!
Liz, ya, you can adopt yourself a small desk size lucky cat if you wanted :)
Sharon, I'm sorry but I had to laugh at the comment you wrote, it is Ironic. The good thing is that, the goldfish will not be touched. The reason, Goldfish Fish in Feng Shui relates to wealth and is a great sign for abundance in that area...they are safe and sound :)
Never heard of lucky cats. Novel idea...
Laura, I didn't know about lucky cats. I've heard about black cats crossing your path as un-lucky. However, I have a glass blue bird I was told was lucky.
Laura we have seen these in many places, but thought it was a Chinese tradition. Never knew it was part of Feng Shui Chi! As Mike above said we have 'live' cats, just told them we would be calling them Lucky from now on....not sure if they understood though LOL!
Michael, Once I am able to post the pics, you may recognize these cute little guys :)
Ellen, yes lucky cats are the color of gold :) A sign of abundance in what ever you choose. What kind of blue bird, any particular name?
Al and Peggy, Lucky Cats are part of multiple traditions. At the Art fair this past Sunday, a child and her mother taught me these cats can be found in not only Chinese cultures but, also with Japanese and Korean beliefs. :) haha what is your cats name. You can call it "lucky....." :)
I have not heard of the lucky cat either, would love to see a picture of one.
Diane, as soon as I can get my laptop working (need the cord to charge) I will be able to post the pics. My desk top is a bit to slow to handle an up load haha
I've often wondered about the origination of these lucky cats. And now I'm going to search to find out.
I have not heard about this one. Would love to see any pics??
I have never heard this either. Very interesting.
