It is that time again for great sights, smells, tastes and sounds of The San Gennaro Feast in Lower New York City!
History:
The San Gennaro in New York City is the longest-running, biggest and most revered religious outdoor festival in the United States. During the early part of the 20th century, "Little Italy" served as a home away from home for Italian immigrants who came who came to America seeking to improve their lives.

This 11-day event features religious processions, colorful parades, free musical entertainment every day, a wide variety of ethnic foods to satisfy your taste buds, charming restaurants and cafes and even a world-famous cannoli-eating competition!

September 19th is the official Saint Day when a celebratory Mass is held in Most Precious Blood Church. After Mass the Statue of San Gennaro is carried from its permanent home in the church through the streets of Little Italy.
