Feng Shui for Real Estate: Visiting your Neighborhood before purchasing a House or calling an apartment home is essential

Feng Shui for Real Estate: Visiting your Neighborhood before purchasing a House or calling an apartment home is essential

Feng Shui New York Long Island consultant Laura Cerrano always stresses the importance of maintaining a well balanced and harmonious interior for your Long Island New York and New York City home or apartment.  It is also essential that you allow yourself the opportunity to visit the town, village or neighborhood of the location your are deciding to call home.  No stone should go unturned.

1. Observe the animals in your location. Again they can help give insights to the type of environment that will surround your potential home.  Do you see happy, bright healthy pets and animals.  For example the Long Island New York Squirrel, he was an extremely happy fella...and not to mention very driven :)

2. How do the plants and Vegetation look?  Great Feng Shui around your neighborhood is to have lush, vibrant and healthy landscaping. It represents supporting your life and success.  Plants that are sickly looking, brown or dried up symbolize a lack of abundance in energy in the environment.

3. How are the residents in the neighborhood? Do the people seem friendly, happy and cheerful? Your surrounding will greatly affect you, so by being around a "higher quality" (meaning happy) energetic community or individuals will benefit you and your family in all aspects of life.

4. What is the actual neighborhood surround by? Do you see local parks and gardens? Or is it surrounded by graveyards, funeral homes or a hospital? The energies of these facilities can either be a true positive force or something you need to off set with Feng Shui Cures and Blessings.

Bryant Park New York City.

City parks are so important, they help include nature, a place to connect and relax because NYC residents are surround by industrial influences everyday.

Before purchasing your new New York home, apartment or condominium, be sure to explore the neighborhood in as much detail as you can.  Remember in Feng Shui your surrounding have a deep and profound affect on you and your family.

Your surroundings will definitely play a huge roll in your happiness. It's always best to spend a few hours, at different times of the day, in the place you're considering calling home.

Good advice, Laura.  You have to be happy in your surroundings.  Need to get to know the neighborhood.  Btw, love the photos of New York, my old stomping grounds.

Laura, I don't think I would like to live close by a graveyard, but I know someone bought a house right across from one.

Hi Laura... it's a great post, but I have to say that the photo of the squirrel with the pizza cracks me up.  The Pizza is as big as he is!

Craig, absolutely, we look at every detail from the interior to you land, the neighborhood and the people, you need to allow yourself the opportunity to have a sense because it can make a world of difference.

Elyse, I am glad to hear the photos bring back happy memories and your welcome :)

Rita, Grave yard is pretty tricky even a church.  Most would think with a church it is a place of happiness but majority of the time it is to remember a lost one or channel your energy with spirits.  Especially if you are very sensitive to energy, it might be kinda hard to block.

Steve, O I love the squirrel as well, He was in another recent post, but he served well for this one too :)

Laura, it seems like the city planners of NYC and Long Island have done a nice job of providing public spaces for the masses of people who work and live in greater NYC.  I was really impressed with how clean the streets look and how well maintained they are.

Bruce, Tudor City in NYC is amazing, it trully is a hidden well kept community. Also very peaceful.  Long Island has some wonderful places to visit as well.

Laura this is a suggestion I give to potential buyers, explore the neighborhood.  By being observant  you can  learn so much, even from the critters you encounter.

Have a great weekend.

Hey Kate, it really is, I have received calls for Feng Shui assessments of spaces before moving in.  People are becoming more in tune with being aware of their environment, which is great.  Be open to all the senses, even the un-physical one ;)
