Renting Haunted Condominium Apartment during the Summer in Eastern Long Island New York
Exploring Long Island with Feng Shui Long Island NY consultant Laura Cerrano
During a trip to Eastern Long Island NY I came across this beautiful English Tudor styled Manor built in 1927 by Carl Fisher, who was responsible for the development of Miami Beach, Florida. The Montauk Manor is a National landmark and has been dubbed the "Castle on the Hill" on Montauk, New York. This Manor contains 140 condominiums apartments, a private health club, spa, swimming pools and tennis courts. Only a limited amount of lucky individuals can stay in the Manor, they are open for the seasons of Spring and Summer.

What is so great about this Manor besides all the Amenities? The stunning studio to deluxe three bedroom with a private Terrance or balcony apartments, the hotel styled service and the haunted story about a female ghost that lives on the four. The Long Island NY locals only told a brief summary about the ghost on the 4th floor. Saying that people have seen doors being slammed and lights flicker on and off. Even today when I asked the front desk about this, they said residents have reported such incidences.

I think it would be kind of neat to stay there for a spell....haunted or not!
Wow that is a really beautiful building. I would love to stay there (without my little kids!) and see if the rumors are true!
I so enjoy the history and story you always provide with your wonderful snapshots of property on your beautiful Island.
Fisher Island in Miami Beach is now composed of affluent condo residences. Formerly the entire Island was owned by the Vanderbilt family.
Laura, this is a gorgeous building. My husband never likes to stay in an old house or breakfast in bed, anything over 80 to 100 years old, he thinks they are all haunted, haha. But it is such a different feeling when you step in an old building, if walls could talk.......
Hello Laura and take a quick look at your post & the word Haunted!
I would have sent you a personal email but I have to run!

Laura - Your photos capture a beautiful scene. . .Hauntingly beautiful:-) That third picture of the corridor is absolutely spectacular. See that couch to the right - I could sit there all day!
Craig, I agree my jaw dropped open when I stepped in, it was so beautiful, I personally love the style of this building :)
Cari, Me to, I have stayed at a hotel in San Diego that is claimed to be extremely haunted, the name escapes me tho.
Eillen, wow the entire Island...amazing! Yes Fisher helped to plan and construct the origianl layout of Miami Beach :)
Rita, I agree..yes it can be "scary" so maybe your husband is very sensitive to that energy ;) But I love these homes, hotels or any type of building, the design and architecture is beautiful!
V-Bob, ooyy, thanks for the heads up! :)
Myrl, yes that is why I made sure to capture a photo, it looked so comfortable to relax in.
Wow, the Monauk Manor looks like an awesome place to spend the weekend! The ghosts sound harmless enough.
Hi Laura... looks like an incredible facility. I am not sure about the ghost though... that kind of weirds me out a bit.
Your very welcome Laura and VB likes haunted buildings, by the way did I see your name mentioned at my latest post?
VB ;-)
What a great building, I bet there are Feng Shui techniques for keeping the ghosts happy, so they don't bother anyone too much!
