Listen to your intuition, Because you never know....

Listen to your intuition, Because you never know....

You always hear that saying, "listen to your inner voice." It can save you a lot of head aches! I was visiting Grandma Rose and noticed a drastic change in the weather pattern.  The winds were so fierce and powerful, it looked like a possible twister could have touch the earth.  Suddenly I was overcome by this strong erg to move my car immediately away from two huge trees, so I did.

Driving back from her house and getting ready to turn onto my block I noticed this!

My street in Farmingdale NY was completely blocked off due to a large fallen tree!

The entire tree was up-rooted!

And guess what else, the tree fell on?...a car.

Moral to this lesson, listen to the small inner voice and the feelings your body gives off that make you uncomfortable, it can make a world of difference.  Even tho the tree feel by my house, it could have been the tree by my grandmas house.

Laura~

TOTALLY! And I do listen to my "inner voice"...and guess what? THIS is a great asset not only should a tree fall (thank goodness you listened to your intuition!) but every day for those of us who practice the art of conscious living...

Hi Laura, listening to our inner voice is what will keep us safe. That brief storm was amazing wasn't it?

Laura, great reminder. I often get into uncomfortable situations if I don't listen to my inner voice.

Smart advice Laura, there is something about that gut feeling, that knows best. Glad you were ok and you moved your car! Imagine! Did you feel the tremours of the earthquake from Quebec?

I am not often that connected with my inner voice but once in awhile it's so loud I do listen. Great post!

JaneAnn, it takes practice to listen to that voice and also feel how your body is reacting.  I have a times received huge Sharp pains from my body if something truly felt off...its really amazing.

Tony and Darcy, same here I love the little voice haha:)

Michael, it has even saved me from accidents with other drivers on street, I'll be thinking ok...switch to the right lane to make that turn and the voice would say get the next turn, an wham! there goes a speedy car past me that could have clipped my side.

Jackie, I couldn't believe how fast and  powerful it came on, I love that but it can be scary at the same time.

Janice, I'm sure we all have had that, and you kick yourself when you in the situation...why didn't I listen!!?? :)

Al and Peggy, I just saw the after math but I'm sure the sound was scary and louuud!!

Russell, you bet, it can take practice to listen and to be aware but we all have the capability :)

Irene, It truly is, supports, helps and guides us through life..if you let it.

Randy, Listen to the angle on the other side of your shoulder :)

Laura: That gave me chills! I hear about this kind of thing all the time but it has yet to happen to me. But I sincerely do believe in intuition and trusting it. Good thing you did in this case!

Laura, that was too close, wasn't it?  You are right about that, our gut feeling can helps us to avoid lots of trouble if we pay attention to it.

Cari, you bet, they finally cleared out the tree today...it was massive, lesson learned on site :)

Rita, We need to listen to it more often, but unfortunately many of us are so on the go...we become tunnel vision and that is not good either...take a breather and gather yourself :) tha is when you listen.

Laura over the last year fallen trees has cause much damage.  Just heard about that accident in Central Park where a baby died, not sure the branch hit her but the accident was triggered by a fallen branch.  Yes we have to evaluate situations and hopefully make the right decision.

Your Mom and I "talked" about that a couple of times, here on AR.  Listening to that little voice is really very powerful.  I do believe women have a stronger sense of it, and a greater urge to listen to it, but we all possess it.  Experiences like yours, make a person that much more likely to listen the next time they hear it! Even though it was neighborhoods away, the intuition was right, a tree did fall, onto a car, just not yours!  Thats just a few "crossed wires", maybe somebody not listening in your neighborhood?
