If you've been following my posts, you've seen the Feng Shui Synchronicity occuring these days in Northport, Long Island, New York. In one post I told about my clients appeared to have been frightened by the changes occuring after a Feng Shui Consultation. In a subsequent post I told that I had received an email the following morning that the woman who had written the Book, The Auspicious Goat, had read my post and MET MY CLIENT FOR THE FIRST TIME THE VERY DAY I HAD BEEN THERE.
While I do not know the entire story of the Auspicious Goat, I do know it made the Guinness's book or World Records for the longest living Goat. I have been emailing the lovely author of this book and she was kind enough to send me some pictures of her AUSPICIOUS PUMPKINGS. She is hoping for them to make a record as well---and they appear to be well on their way!
She told me these pumpkins grow 35 to 40 POUNDS A DAY and I am able to show you two pictures of them. Keep your fingers crossed that they'll make a record as well.
Quite a backyard, isn't it??

The first pumpkin you will see was 40 days old yesterday: It's current weight is 357 Pounds---as of yesterday. Another 40 pounds makes it close to 400 pounds! The pumpkin in the middle was 35 days old yesterday and weighed 436 pounds. Keep adding :) And finally, THE BIG ONE (as if the others weren't big enough!). Pumpkin number 3 was 35 days old and weighed in yesterday at 601 pounds.
I have to wonder how many people on Activerain have PUMPKIN PATCHES IN THEIR BACKYARD???? Maybe none?
The LONG ISLAND RECORD for a pumpkin is 1,030 pounds. The WORLD RECORD IS 1502 pounds. Any bets if one of them will make it? And which one? If you want to see a GREEN THUMB, look at these pictures (and you thought YOU had one :) You may visit her website at http://www.auspiciousgoat.com/ and this lovely woman's name is Carolyn Freund-Nelson in beautiful Northport, Long Island.
Grow, Carolyn, GROW!!

Beautiful pumpkins, Carole ! And a beautiful garden too. How does she ever weigh them ? That's a lot of pumpkin pies.
The Auspicious Goat looks to be a very interesting book.
Jo
Jo-Anne - that is a really good question...how do they weigh them? I would love to have a watermelon garden like that.
Carole - just another ordinary day in the life of a FS consultant? Geez.
If this is true then I have an Auspicious Weed Garden! Cool. Some grow 6 feet tall if neglected...I wonder what the record is for weeds? Really!
Jo, I don't know how she weighs them, I'll have to ask her. The pictures amazed me, this woman amazes me. I am going there as soon as I can, I would LOVE to talk to her, what a facinating person!
Sheron, my dear, the weeds must go.....and you need to clean out your computer! Put all that stuff on discs and make lots of room for all the NEW things!
David, I would have to say I've never heard of it around here....maybe way out East on Long Island, I'm not sure. Wouldn't it be wonderful for someone to be in the Guiniess's Book of World records TWICE? :) Thank you for your comment.
Joan, I should never be surprised at anything anymore but of course I am! Found from my blog which mentions her book and now the pumpkins. Talk about Auspicious!
Sally, I've never seen anything like it either....I had to show them. This whole sequence of events still amazes me, I can't wait to read her book....it took her 12 years to write it, can you imagine? You've GOT to have a positive attitude to have accomplished all that!
Teri, I was wondering that myself....I'm going to ask her, we all need more information. I want to know how they're weighed!
Hi Carole,
Wow and double Wow, I had no idea pumpkins could grow at that rate.
I'd like to get the lady's book & read it, though my reading time is very limited these days. I enjoyed this, thanks.
Carole.... I don't see Charlie Brown or Shroder.... we had a small patch in our garden when I was much younger..... these are huge.
Sally, they must be, I never even thought of that. They are quite a sight, aren't they?
Cynthia, I'm waiting for the book to arrive. Anyone that took 12 YEARS to write a book has to be a phenominal person...and owned the oldest living Goat that connected with another Goat 1/2 way around the world. I thought I had an interesting life :)
Jeff, I'm sure Charlie has visited :) I have never seen anything like this, EVER and loved it. I sure hope she gets the record!
