Kiwi and Blueberry are perfect names for that pair! When I was a kid I had a few blue parakeets. But when I finally bought a green one almost perfectly matched to Kiwi I hit the jackpot. Marty was the smartest bird I had come across. He could talk like a champ, and would also call for our dog - "Here Gigi, here Gigi." And then he'd whistle like you would for a dog!
Yes, perfect names for them.
Hi Laura and Carole,
They're just gorgeous and what lovely names!
Jo
Are they yours? They really are a cute pair.
Well captured photo Carole ! Great colors on these little guys :o)
I used to have a parakeet named Tweety Tweet. He could say "Tweety Tweet Dirty Bird" and would say it often whenever he wanted attention. He liked to sit on the highest thing in the room which was usually my husband's head. Alas, Tweety has departed to the great beyond, but lives on in my happy memories:o))
They are so cute! Are they yours? They look like they are in a serious stare down. Great names too!
Carole, I've never had birds but yours could pique my interest. Perfect names for the pair. Cool!
I love the names. The parakeets are adorable. Thanks for the picture.
Those names are perfectly matched just like them! They are so cute :)
They are so cute, Carole. My family has had a number of parakeets. Our current little friend is called Jimmy. He is almost as adorable as Kiwi and Blueberry.
Carole they are beautiful. I agree those colors certainly reminds one of the tropics.
Aww. They look so sweet. I assume they're yours? So where do they fit in a Feng Shui appropriate room?
Very cool looking birds Carole! The colors on this pair mix well together:)
Myrl, Animals are amazing with what they can do. That must have been so funny to hear Marty calling :) It's like another family member...or rather they are.
Lee and Carol, These two pairs are very cute and what I remember these two parakeets have been living together for two years :)
Jo, The names fit the size and color of these beautiful birds :)
Jane, oo no they are not, it would be a nice addition to the family tho :)
Sheldon, Thank you...Laura was able to get pretty close to them, they were half asleep :)
Michelle, I'm sorry to hear that...but I have a question for you, hahaha..where did he learn "tweet tweet dirty bird...interesting choice of words
Liz, They were actually giving small kisses before the pic and half asleep. No they are not mine, I used to have a small bird and a couple of ducks growing up tho :)
Marlene, These bird were well behaved...they can be a bit of work, but like with any thing treat them well and you'll get that back in return :)
Gita, Your Welcome, when Laura and I heard the names we "melted" :)
Jackie, their names, colors, size, it's a perfect Feng shui Matchup for love haha
Jennifer, they certainly do warm the soul and put a smile on your face :)
Lisa, no they are not mine, it was a friend of ours who lives in Levittown NY. According to the Feng Shui Bagua, the back right hand side is your partnership. If you wanted to place them around that location...willing it is appropriate light and temperature for the little fellas :) But that would be the ideal placement. Great question.
Bill, It's like a beutifual painting :)
I love birds. I had always wanted a bird and finally got an African Grey years ago. Unfortunately it hated my husband because they become very jealous so I had to get rid of it. These are so pretty!
Debra, wow I had no idea that birds can become so protective...sorry to hear that. But, yes these birds were wonderful, and sang beautifully :)
