if you have ever lived on Long Island NY or even made a visit, one thing you will have noticed across Long Island are the scores of malls and shopping.  they seem to cover one end of li to the Hampton's and quite honestly we don't need that many.  However, if malls are your thing, you will be able to find every single type of store your looking for here on Long Island.

We carry everything from top brand department stores, such as Bloomingdale's to Sax to our smaller unique store such as Payless shoes, restaurants and cafe`s.  a simple walk thou roseveltfield mall in Garden City ny will turn up your favorit bag of bones.

Further north east on Long Island, you'll come across Walt whitman mall in Melville NY.  You can find moderately priced stores like the Gap, my personal favorite BeBe and Godiva Chocolate, Laura's favorite.  While it's known long islanders spend exuberant amounts of time in the mall, they do not rival the beautiful parks of Long Island New York.

Hi Carole... I haven't been to Roosevelt Field since I was a child!  Thanks for bringing back great memories!

Hi Carole-

Although I am not a big fan of shopping, it certainly is a big draw for people. I love the first photo, though!

Hi Carole, That is a wonderful and fun post. And you are right. Long Island has it all and when and if it doesn't , it doesn't take much to get to Manhattan, :-)

Carole, I love Godiva chocolate!  Too bad there is none in the house at the moment.

Cool shots Carole. I have not been to Long Island. When I did a bike tour of New England several years ago, I skirted that corner of NY...

Carole:

As the father of two teenage daughters, sometimes I feel like I live in the Roosevelt Field Mall (and the nearby Source Mall, home of Nordstrom Rack and Off 5th Ave).

While I have been to Garden City years ago, I never got to the malls.  I was there for a wedding.  Maybe I will have to come on out to visit you sometime.

Hi Carole, I was in Atlanta's Mart where the wholesalers have out all the holiday decor all the time. Something about those Halloween decorations always draw me in especially the skeletons. Some were scary, some funny. I just think they are cool looking.

Love, love, love the photo of Laura and her new friend :D

Carole--What a fun day you and Laura must have had shopping and snapping a few photos. Fun pictures and it looks like a great place to shop!

Hi Carole,  I really like that concept of the aquarium behind the counter.  If you had to wait in line the sound of the moving water and the swimming fish would take the frustration out of waiting.

ps-I liked the shot of Laura with her emaciated friend!  ^_~

I didn't realize there were so many malls on LI. I would have to agree with Laura....Godiva Chcolates, mmmm.

Cute pic of Laura and 'bag of bones'. ((-;

So Feng Shui has no problem with a skeleton? Hopefully, it's a plastic one, but nonetheless.

Carole - It sounds like a shopper's paradise!  I have often thought it would be neat to have either a Bloomingdale's or Sax here in Sacramento - but to have both would endanger my bank account:-)

I bet those bag of bones would scare a few kids on Halloween if presented right:)
