Recently, Laura Cerrano of Feng Shui Manhattan New York City and I received a call for a Feng shui Consultation in a New York City building we had never heard of called "Element" located on The Upper West Side of Manhattan.
We were unfarmiliar with the lovely building and realized our Feng Shui Client had recently purchased one of the lovely Condos in this realatively new, luxury high rise in New York City. She was looking for a Color Consultations and some decorating advice in choosing new furniture for her beautiful new space in Manhattan NY.
We were struck by the natural amount of Sunlight that poured in from the Outside, creating a Yin/Yang balance in this beautiful New York City high rise filled with Condos, Apartments and The Penthouse Suites. It is perfectly located on the Upper West Side of New York City and close to both Central Park and Lincoln Center.
We spent a lovely day helping her choose some beautiful colors that she felt good surrounded with that also addressed Feng Shui Principles and then went to a few select Furniture Stores to assisit her in finding just the right type of furniture that would keep the feeling of the open spaces in her NYC Condo while allowing her to work freely and comfortably in her lovely new Feng Shui Home.

Our Manhattan Feng Shui Client was very happy with our Consultation I'm thrilled to say. When we left she asked for a bunch of business cards....to hand out to friends and neighbors in this lovely New York City High Rise on the Upper West Side of Manhattan New York City.
The Element: Sounds a bit Feng Shui, doesn't it??

Carole
Excellent job; I have to think that is amazing having a high rise and getting all that magnificent sunshine in.
Hi Carole:
WOW...what a building!
The Element, certainly does sound Feug Shui.
Hoping that you have lots of business there.
I would love to see some of your work sometime!
Carole - The Element seems like the perfect name for that building! It appears as it is so named. Powerful in its own right. The location also sounds wonderful! I'm wondering what colors were chosen?
What an amazing building!! What colors were chosen? Good luck with all the new business. I'm sure you will be quite busy. Have a good weekend!
Another great job, Carole! I am amazed that you were able to capture so much of the building in your photo. I would have been standing with my back to the Hudson to get that much of "The Element" in my camera lens!
Hi Carole, I like the building, the name, and the post... sounds like a WIN-WIN-WIN to me!
Looks like a great building and I know you did a terrific job.
I love the building. I am sure you did a wonderful job and will be in the building many more times for other clients.Good luck.
Hi Carole, unless you live there, most do not know about that building. Everyone likes to go to Times Square, the Village, etc. That building is beautiful isn't it? I'm glad you have a happy client and for her to ask for business cards is a huge plus!
Wow what a beautiful building but oh so high!
Hi Carole, It sounds like you and Laura did a wonderful job in helping this client outfit her space perfectly. It's always great when they ask for cards - that in itself is a huge compliment! Great job! Wow, this is a gorgeous building! We don't see buildings like that around here.
Tom, The place is amazing...and what a location!
Toula, It's a beautiful place to "work." Many people are still moving in and we already have a referral :)
Susan, Many of my clients don't want photos which I understand. My next post does have a Feng Shui Makeover....and the story behind it.
Myrl, In working with the colors they liked and the amount of sunshine, we kept it light, pale colors and accented with darker pieces of artwork. When everything is up and delivered, I believe it will be stunning.
Lizette, Thank you...We kept mainly to light colors (as mentioned above) to keep the light, airy feeling it had with the sunshine while adding accent colors that relate to health, wealth and my clients favorite colors.
Bruce, It wasn't an easy shot but it did come out well :) The building is spectacular (and has vacancies :)
Steve, Our client was very happy...so were we! I'm hoping you're right, it's always nice when they ask for your card to refer you.
Bob & Carolin, Thank you...We too have to wait to see after it's painted and the furniture and artwork arrives but I believe it's going to be gorgeous.
Gita, I can't wait to see how this turns out when it's done but happy clients are priceless.
Jackie, I hadn't known or heard about it either but it certainly is a beautiful place. There are vacancies and I was very happy she was happy enough to ask for cards to give out.
Debra, I don't mind high, I would have gone up to the Penthouse if I could! I can't even imagine the views from up there!
Carole - the Element does sound very feng shui. The building is very tall and beautiful, and love the idea of lots of natural light.
Sandy, We were very happy to hear that. It means she loved our work and felt confident enough to tell others.
Sharon, It's difficult to imagine all the light that really does come through. What a beautiful find in Manhattan!
Carole,
Such a beautiful building...Element does sound very Feng Shui and seems like a perfect name for this condo.
Jo
Jo, It was a beautiful building to come across. Laura and I could not ignore the signs of Feng Shui influences placed upon the architectural design.
Aside from the Feng Shui, the building has 12,000 square feet of amenities, including a pool with skylight, state-of-the-art gym with garden views, large party room with wifi, basketball and squash courts, a playroom, and massage and sauna rooms. One bedroom apartments with balconies go for just under $1 million, and a high floor 2000 sqft 3 bedroom is on the market for $3,395,000. Not a bad place to live, but notice the lack of closet space!
This building "Element" has a nice feel to it. The terraces on the upper floors seem to round out the corners.
I love that building. There's something about protruding decks on high-rises that really appeal to me.
