An Update: The Feng Shui 'Feel Good' Bedroom in Holtsville Long Island New York With Photo! My apologies for not adding the Photo from yesterday's blog! I added the link to a Post I had written back in 2007 on the effects of Mirrors and Placement. If you haven't read it, it can answer most of your questions regarding the placement of Mirrors throughout the Home and in the Bedroom and explain whey Feng Shui Consultants are very careful with placement. Here it is again if you missed it: Mirror, Mirror----WAIT! Don't Hang Me Yet!! by Feng Shui Long Island Comments are disabled on this post. Thanks for the update Carole!
Is it true that, according to Feng Shui rules, removing things from under the bed, will promote a better nights sleep?
Carol, I just read you piece on mirrors and it answered a lot of the questions I had after reading a book on Feng Shui. So thank you!
No problem Carole and thanks for the update and photo!
VB ;o)
Thanks for putting up the photo, Carole. This is my first foray into Feng Shui. Tomorrow I am going to check my bedroom!
Hi Carole! Just jumped in to say.... that bed sure looks good about right now... need to jump in one right now.... ANY one! (Been too busy with much work... wanted to greet you - stay encouraged!)
Hi Carole..I'm not sure if you are having the same problem with comments none of my earlier comment stayed and I'm doubling up..Love this Post on Mirrors and I bookmarked your 2007 Post..so it sounds like I need a mirror in my front entrance to bring in more positive energy into my house and my home office.
Thank you for the post. I always learn something new about Feng Shui from your posts.
hi Carole,
Very lovely bedroom....it looks like a peaceful oasis and as you said, she is surrounded by the things she loves.

Hi Carole! I love the info about mirrors! I think I need to make some changes.... :)

I had no idea, that having things under your bed could cause sleeping problems! I'm a light sleeper that often gets up and works awhile in the night and then goes back to bed. I have those roll under the bed storage bins. My house is small, I have no idea where I would store the stuff otherwise. I guess I need to work on that! In fact I have those bins under every bed in the house!
Carole, I went back and read your post about mirrors. I found it fascinating and I also found that I probably have a misplaced mirror in my home, that should be moved. I'm also going to have to go and remove the items from under my bed. Thanks for the information.
Hi everyone....To answer your questions about things under the bed, it impedes the flow of Energy which we especially need at night to rest and restore. In one home of a woman trying to conceive I found that's where they stored their weights. Weights are heavy and will weigh you down. People also store shoes under the bed and often times my client's will tell me they always feel like "people are walking all over them." Interesting correlation of words!
As for the Mirrors, that was an in depth post I did way back in 2007 and I thought it might be helpful to truly understand how...and why we use mirrors throughout the home from a Feng Shui Perspective.
I apologize for not giving individual answers, I am having a night filled with Proxy Errors :(
Carole ~ Your mirror post was fantastic and really touches on all the main points for the rest of us. I really enjoyed the story of the mirror turned around and hidden behind the headboard and you could still sense something wasn't right. Feng Shui really makes us step back and take a new look at everything and can really positively influence our lives.
I am glad Active Rain has a Feng Shui expert, so we can all bounce our ideas and questions off you.
