High up in Manhattan New York.....Someone (or Some Thing) has to do it....Watch out for the unexpected. It looks to me like this clever little fellow is doing a wonderful job:
High Atop a Manhattan New York Highrise Apartment, he keeps a Watchful Eye.

Hi Carole~ Somebody has to do it! Hope he catches it all with those watchful eyes!
Carole - that bird is definitely keeping a watchful eye. Beautiful blue skies and thanks for sharing!
Hi Carole....Oh Yes Pigeons, they are everywhere watching us. Good for you capturing the moment.
Cute photo -- watch out below -- all the best -- hope all is good in your world.
Good karma and feng shui would be to be under that bird while it poops on your head or shoulders. It has only happened to me twice.
Is this bird keeping an eye on the NY real estate market????...
HMMMM I wonder what he is thinking? Probably thinking about whether he should head on down for lunch:)
Aaaaaaaah! He found a private place to poop, lol. :)
He's most likely just looking for a freshly washed car!!! You know how evil those pigeons can be!!!
Good Morning Carole,
Pigeons, gulls and crows always have that 'bird's eye view'....oh to have wings.
Jo
Carole, somebody has to do it and I am glad you decided to take the trouble to take the picture and share with us...
Carole - reading the post and the comments reminded me of the song On the wings of a dove
Caole sure looks like he is keeping a watchful eye and there is certaoinly much to see in NYC.
Carole, It looks like this is a favorite resting spot for this guy and maybe some of his friends. How lucky he is to have such a beautiful view.
I have to laugh at Craig's post-that is what I was going to write!
gota wear a hat around that fellow
your friend in Charlottesville Virginia!
Carol,
I hardly ever see pigeons around here in Crofton, MD, but last week there were two in my bird feeder. I gave them directions North.
Rich
Hi Carole!
It is refreshing to see a different bird besides a HAWK perched upon a strategic vantage point. I saw a hawk every couple of miles driving along the interstate about a week ago after a fresh snowfall. Pigeons are such peaceful and soothing birds! Thanks for the tranquil moment in a very busy day.
You must have been up there also keeping a watchful eye, Carole?
Hi Carol:
Gotta love the pigeons in NYC...always hanging around, looking for tidbits!
Hi Vickie, I guess someone DOES have to do it....He looks to me like he's on the job :)
Sharon, He's so high up! I always wonder just how far they can see....
Fred, I love these birds...It must be so nice to just perch!
Bob & Carolin, You're right...didn't think of that one :)
Sonny, I've been VERY fortunate then! It hasn't happened to me (yet).
Marzena, I believe he is...hopefully watching the prices go up!
Bill, I'd like to know myself. They're so hardy, I'd be freezing!
Jackie, You echo the sentiments of many....I wasn't thinking quite that way :)
Craig, You're right, that HAS happened to me. I just always hope it's not on the windshield.
Jo, I thought the same thing...what DOES it feel like to fly?
Joanne, Thank you....I think he's watching something---or looking for lunch.
Kathy, I will go listen to the song....and thank you for posting a link, I haven't heard it in SO long!
Jennifer, There IS a lot to see in the City...and he does have the view to see it all.
Sandy, That has to be nice, doesn't it? To be able to look so far down and see so much?
Debra, Craig always makes me laugh but he's right....my car has gotten splattered more then I'd like to say.
Charles, I didn't have one but next time I'll wear scarfs (and hope that's enough!)
Rich, That's too cute. But they'll have lots to do up here!
Bruce, I haven't seen ANY hawks in a long time. Pigeons we have....lots of them.
Jane, I try not to miss anything and am always looking around; it's one of the reasons I'm always falling :(
Toula, He's pretty hefty....I think he might have wanted more than a Tidbit.
ah to be able to soar among the clouds and have a heavenly view of earth :)
or could it be more practical like where will my next meal come from:)
great photos make one think of various perspectives Carole -thanks for sharing this one
sincerely
grace
Carole, that's a great photo but it makes me wonder how you were able to take it! You didn't crawl out on a ledge, did you?
