The "SIDE" Benefits of Activerain...and Another Milestone by Feng Shui Long Island & New York Blogger
I rarely use Twitter or Facebook quite honestly. I guess I'm not the best Facebook friend to have because I stop on so rarely and it's not to "play." I spend so much time on the computer that I had let these sites lag until I read so many posts about their usefulness.
Personally, Activerain has done more for me both personally and professionally than I would ever have imagined. What started out to be "just some blogs" on Activerain that had to do with my area of expertise, Feng Shui and writing about the areas I am in quite often has somehow turned me into an "expert" blogger for Long Island New York!
Along with some very incredible sites about Long Island NY that are mostly put together with wonderful writers from all over Long Island and it's many contributors, they also provide things such as Classifieds and Events. My blogs have been included among one of these wonderful sites but I also found they come up alone, on the second page of Google under the terms "Long Island Blogs."

Certainly something I'd never thought would happen but they are there for many to read: My love of Feng Shui and the beautiful areas I am so fond of visiting both on Long Island and New York City. I get emails from people across Long Island NY and Manhattan that ask me more questions about the area or about MY Area of expertise, Feng Shui. I take the time to answer them all.
Activerain is much more than Milestones and Numbers. Activerain took my business to new heights but it also took me personally to new heights. To dreams I would have never thought possible.
So as I recently passed my 500,000 ‘point' mark, perhaps that is beside the point. Activerain has enabled me to establish myself as not only a Feng Shui Expert on Long Island and New York City but an AREA expert as well. It doesn't get much better then that!

Carole - That is one of the more inspirational sunsets I've seen! Amazing color! I'm also a huge fan of ActiveRain, have a Facebook page, but am negligent in keeping it updated. You can set Facebook and Twitter to automatically import your blogs. That will help you keep a presence without actually logging into the sites on a regular basis.
