I love different events all over Manhattan New York. I head of this one late but in case there are any "late night" readers, you might very well enjoy THIS SECOND TIME NYC EVENT.
Billed as "The Biggest Itailaian Wine Event" tp be held outside of Italy, it focuses on the best tasing wines from many different regions all over Italy. Italian Wines at their finest are showcased as wine tasters and seminars in either Wine Only Events or Wine and Dinner Events.
I would love dinner with my wine so I'm highlighting some of the wonderful Restaurants that are participating in this incredible 'Vino Event." Please note: Conflicting information on Web Sites have th End date listed differently.....please call ahead to confirm when this event officially ends or if some places are extending it.

One of these restaurants, Le Cirque was on my favorite restaurant list. Here is a restaurant I eat at quite frequently that is also participaing: Serafina - Fabulous Grill Note: Do NOT confuse this with Sarabeth's, yet another favorite of mine (which sadly is not particpaing). Go there for the BEST Sunday brunch!
Here are some other restaurants and a general number to call:
Brasserie Cognac
Bull & Bear Steakhouse
Clo Wine Bar
Gattopardo
Geisha
I Trulli
Il Punto Ristorante
Inoteca - vino e cucina

Carole this is an event that I am sure will be well attended. I wrote a post sometime ago and people were surprised that NY State had so many wineries.
Carole,
Looks like a very fun event....I would love to attend and take in some meals at some of the restaurants you've mentioned.
Jo
I would be happy with the grapes!
I'm not much a wine drinker, but these types of events are always fun, I had a good time with Restaurant Week, Eileen and I went to a couple of places we have been meaning to try.
Sounds like it will be a great event. As a fellow New Yorker i should be there right now. I love a nice light sweet wine. Goes great with everything.
Awesome Post Carole - if you run across any good Italian Pino Grigio's let me know :)
Sincerely,
Grace
Jennifer, Our wineries out here are on the East End...they are gorgeous. I know you have them in your beautiful area as well. These are just Italian wines. It should be a fun event.
Jo, Whenever you get to New York you will have to stay a while. It's going to take some time until you've gotten to eat at all my favorite restaurants :)
Janice, They look good to me, too :)
Morgan, That's what I love about restaurant week. I just heard of this event and they had one last year that did very well.
Robert, Our plans to go today were halted by the threat of heavy snow....which causes a mess getting back to Long Island :( It didn't happen yet but they haven't done away with the snow warning.
Grace, That is what I drink...Pino Grigio (I like the Santa Margarita :)
What a great event this is. This would be so much better though in May or June.
Carole
What a great time that would be with all that great wine.
Debra, I was thinking the same exact thing....I don't know why they chose the winter but it is a nice event.
Carole, This sounds like a great event for those fine wine lovers out there.
Just stopping by to invite you to the ActiveRain Super Bowl Party. Stop by if you get a chance. Geaux Saints!
Now this sounds like a great event!
your friend in Charlottesville Virginia!
Carole - It soound like a great event I trust you will partake of the bounty.
Carole~
I wish I could have hopped on over for this event...
Sonds like fun! I like your grapes pic!
