I remember....most of it, anyway. Bob Dylan except for his early days and hearing (but being too young to go) to Greenwich Village in New York City. It is said Cafe Wha gave it's start to some of the BEST performers of their time: Bob Dylan and Janis Jopin among them.
Moma--- Metropolitan Museum of Modern Art in New York has a display that took me back in time.
This Feng Shui Consultant in New York City loves BALANCE...and COLOR. The Bottom picture certainly shows both!
I love the ARTWORK and the COLORS.
I have Peter Max somewhere. Not the REAL Peter by one of his Photos that is hanging in MOMA in New York City! Talk about Genius.....his original POSTERS are going for $1500 and up :) My favorite is LOVE - of course!
The Museum of Modern Art in New York City is a wonderful way to spend a day....or an hour!

Hi Carole... I love MoMA! This exhibit looks like a lot of fun (and nostalgia)!
Hi Carole...I love the way you make the most of living close to such a dynamic city.
Kate
Wow, what a great display. I love the old rock posters. Little too far for me to visit on a regular basis. Hope to visit some day.
1500 and up for the posters> wow? but oh how cool! carole you are SO lucky to live in a city with so very much to offer.........maybe I could do like ElizabethGilbert in Eat, Pray - Love and live in New York for 4 months?
Hi Carole, the MOMA exhibit looks great. Many years ago I was fortunate enough to have caught a show of John Lennon's ink drawing at a Portland, OR museum.
I remember when there enjoying the MOMA a lot. Good post.
What is not to love about art and colors? NY is a cool town...
Helping you help others live their American dream...
Wow! This made me feel both old AND giddy! Loved the poster from 1966 :-)
What a cool exhibit. I would have loved it! Great photos Carole :)
That is mad cool. :-)
Hi Carole:
Great exhibit!
I remember Peter Max during the MOD era with tons of posters!
Carole- looks like a great exhibit. Like you, I heard about all these people, but was too young to go to see them, plus I lived in a farm town way outside of Buffalo where nothing happened!
I may be coming up to New York next week, maybe I'll try to see this exhibit.
Carole: thanks for sharing this - looks wonderful - would love to go.
Carole - I love that iconic "LOVE" poster in the top photo. I heard somewhere, that is created by Shepard Fairey, who had created Obama's "HOPE" campaign poster. But Fairey was born in 1970. It isn't likely he would be the "LOVE" poster creator.
Hi Carole, Wow, you're right - the vibrant colors just jump off of those posters. What a talented artist!
Carole - the good old days indeed ... Back to the sixties
Carole,
I was born in 1958, so just caught the tail end of the 'hippie' generation.....but oh how I wanted to be a part of it! Beautiful paintings....it would be a wonderful exhibit to see.
Jo
Carole....you realize you were originally probably supposed to view that in a somewhat "altered" state! LOL
You would like the Woodstock Museum...it has flashing lights and a painted bus too!!
Such a great exhibit. I've always loved that genre of art. In fact, the only picture I have on my walls is my autographed Peter Max lithograph! Oh, I so need a visit from the Feng Shui Queen!
I remember the sixties and the pop art posters and influence - those were groovy times baby!
Nice Museum! I'll remember it the next time I go to NY. Tks!
Thank you ALL for your comments....I am sorry to get back here late but we had the presentation yesterday.
I LOVED this exhibit! Part of it I remember including wearing some Peter Max clothes (sewn to fit :). Joni, I tried to make it to the Woodstock Museum last summer but it got cold SO quickly....I was 16 when they had Woodstock and am SO sorry I wasn't allowed to go!
I remember being in a client's home on Long Island and his whole house was filled with this artwork; even his furniture was from the '60's and '70's. I really had fun with that consult :)
Linda, If you're coming up to NY, please call me!
Looks like a groovy exhibit, Carole! I, too, love the bright colors.
Carole - you have become our eyes to your world! Appreciate you so much!
Carole..My X husband took my Peter Max...Darn it
