So did I : ( I couldn't go and I couldn't be sorrier that I missed it. Fortunately, my daughter Laura Cerrano didn't. She got to go learn and PLAY and she is STILL talking about it. She put up a blog but could not post her photos of Raincamp 2010 from her new computer....so here they are.
For a few years she has wondered what my facination with Activerain was/is. Now she's experienced it first hand---and she's hooked! WARNING: Attending one Activerain Camp won't be enough. You'll want more...and then a little more.
These are some HAPPY CAMPERS!
Cindy Jones, Patricia Kennedy, "Active" Brad Anderson and Irene Kennedy.

These are the Active Rain Panelists from the NYC RainCamp, Patricia Kennedy, Sheldon Neal " The British Agent" and Cindy Jones. All three gave wonderful fist hand experience advice for blogging and what type of content to share on ActiveRain.
Gee, I should have bought a Tee Shirt!

Pat Kennedy, Brad Andersohn, C Tann-Starr and Laura Cerrano pose for a photo at the RainCamp after party..good times!

Laura Cerrano joins the Adamescu couple for a lovely photo and even taster glass of wine at the NY RainCamp After Party :)

I heard Washington DC is coming up...in the Spring. Isn't that Cherry Blossom time?
Photos by New York Feng Shui Consultant Laura Cerrano...and we shared the content writing (how's THAT for disclosure :)?

I have heard nothing but rave reviews for all of the rain camps. Glad to hear that Laura attended and had a great time.
Hi Carole, I missed it too, but I'm sure you heard alot of great things from your daughter. Looks like they had fun.
Hi Carole:
I was right next door at the Tom Ferry seminar that was sponsored by our mortgage company.
Might be a good time to take a ride to DC in May???
Carole, I saw pictures of your beautiful daughter on someone's post. I think it was Sheldon's. I would love to go to the DC one. Maybe that would be a good time to visit my husband's Aunt in Baltimore.
Thanks for sharing these photos, Carole. Laura is so beautiful! You must be so proud of her accomplishments. I was so impressed by her website and bio! Such a diverse background! Does this mean that she has now joined AR?
Hi Carole ! Laura was so much fun to run into at RainCamp !
Great pictures !
Cheers !
Laura is beautiful! May I suggest that everyone go straight on over to Laura's own blog and give her a warm welcome?
I love that Feng Shui Long Island tee shirt!
Hi Carole, I had to miss it too. Had to work and it wouldn't have been right for me to cancel appointments with clients. I will be there next year for sure. And yes, Cherry Blossom time is in the Spring. It's beautiful!
Hi Carole-What great photos. Your daughter is beautiful just like her Mom. If they had Rain camp in June then we could have all gone together. Have a great weekend, <SMILE>
Carole,
You have my permission to Photoshop your face over mine so you have a shot of yourself with Brad. Not the same as meeting him, I know but...
I wish I could have been there too! Maybe we'll all be able to make it to the next one.
Carole I have seen so many pictures with Laura; looks like she had a great time.
I wasn't at the actual event either, I was next door at a different seminar, but my better half was at raincamp and she thought it was fantastic.
We are as sorry as you Carole. Washington DC in Spring eh? You know have wanted to visit Washington anyway and you say it may be cherry blossom time? Mmmm. BTW Laura is as beautiful as her Mom!
YAY!!! Thanks for sharing Laura's photos!! Oh how I wish RainCamp would come to Asheville...
Carole, isn't that just like kids? We can tell them things til we're blue in the face but until they discover it for themselves.... LOL Now you've got her hooked on AR.
I'm setting my sights on DC in May!
Great photos from NYC RainCamp Carole. I like to see the REAL people and mingle with them when you get the chance. I felt like I was there with your post. Very impressed.
Carole and Laura,
Beautiful photos and write-up! Laura has a very beautiful smile and certainly does light up the room...the newsletter was absolutely right.
Now I'm on the search for more photos...
Jo
I missed you Carole! Your daughter is beautiful! She was taking pictures everywhere. Oh and thanks Carole for posting all the pics with me in the background looking trashed. aaarrgghhh! You couldn't pick other ones? LOL
Carole
Looks like everybody had a really nice time.
I did miss the NYC Rain Camp. It was an event that I truly wished I was able to attend...especially being in my old hometown.
By the way, congrats to Laura for being the featured member here in the Rain the other day!
Carole it looked like a great time. I wish I could have made it...maybe I will make it to DC!
Carole - Those are wonderful photos of folks I have come to know and love here on ActiveRain. Thank you so much for providing them!
Joan, I hope you manage to get to one....I am now trying for DC (which should be lovely that time of year!!)
Liz, She keeps talking about it. How much she learned and how nice everyone was. She wasn't expecting to have FUN but there was plenty around :)
Toula, I am going to try....and turn it into a mini-vacation! I haven't been to DC in a long time and have a cousin who lives about 45 minutes away that I would love to see!
Marchel, I too have a cousin not far that I would be able to visit with. I want to see if I can turn this into a mini vacation instead of a one or two night trip :)
Bruce, Thank you so much. Laura grew up with Feng Shui so while she's trained extensively, it's also so natural for her. You must try to attend one of the Raincamps if you can, she learned SO much!
Sheldon, It's all the wonderful people like you at Activerain that made her feel so welcome! She had a wonderful time and is "hooked."
Cheryl, You are SO sweet! I still have your (our) Jackson Browne magazine btw. I always thank you for your kindness which now extends to Laura! That Tee Shirt has brought her some business--she now has a few of them!
Jackie, Think about DC, depending on when it is (and how busy I am) I would love to try and get there!
Sharon, Is that when you have time off....in June? Hmmm, think carefully about where you might want to travel to :)
Irene, What a sweet idea! If I had photoshop I would take you up on it in a New York Minute!!
Irene T, I hope they do it with as much style and class as this one. I've been to the Marriott Marque and it's gorgeous! I will try to make the one in Washington if I possibly can.
Morgan, Too bad they had conflicting events! I'm glad, though, that you each got to hear about the other events and hope next time Raincamp comes to NY you won't have to miss it.
Al & Peggy, Thank you so much. I do think the Spring is lovely in Washington and I haven't been there in a long time. Business also picks up very much in the Spring so I'll see what we can do to get there.
Maggie, I couldn't get her to Blog. I couldn't get her interested in AR. She thought I had "imaginary" friends. Now that she's seen it for herself she IS hooked!
janeAnne, It must be coming somewhere near you....I don't believe they have the schedule yet but do hope you get to go. I haven't seen one negative thing about it, everyone had a great time!
Gary, Laura just got a new computer and couldn't post the pictures. Haven't been able to get through to the anti virus but that's what they think it is. But she loved meeting everyone and they weren't strangers (for long, anyway!).
Jo, Aren't you due to come to New York? Or OVERDUE? Goodness, it would be so nice to have you visit The Big Apple (think Spring!).
Debra, I apologize for that!! I have absolutely NO photo editing in my computer and Laura's is so new we're still trying to figure it out. Besides, I didn't name you (so shush, no one knows who it is!).
Tom, By all accounts it was a blast!
Craig, We were THRILLED to see that. And yes, you would have loved visiting your old stomping grounds. Come visit in the Spring when the blooms are just starting....I don't know if there's a nicer time to be in NYC.
Bill, Try if you can. You know everyone, you would have an absolute blast and no doubt they'll be pulling you up to talk!!
Myrl, I know how you feel. I know and love them as well and wish I could have gone. Now I'll look to the Spring and DC.
Laura is so beautiful, and congrats on getting her hooked on ActiveRain. You're lucky to have AR camp over there, maybe you'l make it next time.
I am definitely setting my sights on DC in May. Hope to see you there. Thanks for sharing Carole. Have a great weekend. And thank you sooo much for stopping by and making a comment on my blog. Great post.
Hi Carole...I feel so bad that I missed the New York RainCamp. I am determined to attend the one in D.C. Sounds like you might be considering it. Will Laura be there also?
Kate
Carole - Washington in the spring eh! maybe Toronto in the fall (some wishful thinking on our part)
Thanks, Carole, for the lovely photos. Sometimes we need to "Let Go" so our children will have the opportunity to bloom. Then we can bask in the afterglow. I had read Laura's post a few days ago. Enjoy.
Mary
Carole: I so wished I could have attended. The photos and blog make me feel part of it though. What a wonderful journey you and Laura are having! Namaste!
Georgina, I'm certainly going to try and thank you so much about the lovely comment for Laura!
Lanre, If I don't have anything booked, I will be in DC. I have a special cousin who is nearby that I'd love to visit with and it's a beautiful time of the year there.
Kate, We'd have to work it out to see if we could both go. Dog and house "sitting" issues but I'm hopeful and would love to meet you in person, finally!
Kathy, You never know. I know many people in Canada would love them to go up there...If it does, you will LOVE it.
Mary, Laura was comfortable in going because she's heard SO MUCH about so many members over the years :) And they ALL made her feel so very welcome she absolutely loved it.
Janice, I'm sure you'll be able to attend one some time in the future. It's a wonderful mix of learning, good friends and pure fun!
How is DC in the summer time. That would make for a very good work/vacation visit. Thanx for the post. Oh btw i'm originally from Brooklyn and lived in Manhattan
Carol, you'll just have to come to Washington for the May Rain Camp! It's starting to look like a bunch of us girls are going to have a slumber party at my house!
I think they had a Raincamp in San Francisco a few weeks ago, but they have to realize that California is a big state. Hopefully they'll get to San Diego some day.
Looks like a good time was had by all -- sorry you could not make it.
Hi Carol,
Everyone was asking about you! I actually made it too but didn't have the camera handy! I hear Washington DC is next! I got to meet everyone and it was well worth the trip!
Lovely pictures Calore! I'm waiting for a AR camping in Washington DC, that would be closer to me.
Take care,
Gabriela
