Thoughts from a New York Feng Shui Consultant: The 3 "LUCKS" of Feng Shui
Feng Shui on Long Island. Feng Shui in New York City.....Feng Shui ANYWHERE. For well over a decade Feng Shui has been my passion, my beliefs and my "work." Feng Shui Consultants can work wonders for clients and sometimes they can overstep their boundaries.
In a recent ‘Members Only' post I discussed a Google Alert I had come across from another Feng Shui Consultant making remarks about the conviction of Amanda Knox from her Flying Star Chart in Feng Shui. Our own Dena Stevens was kind enough to ask the following question:

How much control DO Feng Shui Consultants (or their clients) have over a situation? According to the teachings of Feng Shui, we have quite a bit of Control over what occurs in our lives. They are referred to as The Three LUCKS of Feng Shui.
HEAVEN LUCK are the stars we were born under. It is Astrology whether you choose to practice Western or Chinese Methods. We don't have control over this portion in our lives, it is predestined for us. This is the Feng Shui Flying Stars; an important part of Feng Shui but there are other factors involved as well.
EARTH LUCK is Feng Shui. It is the "Luck" that we create in our Surroundings and Environments and we DO have control over this. It takes into account creating an environment that is Peaceful and Harmonious to assist us through the difficult periods of our Heaven Luck.
MANKIND LUCK is the way you choose to live your lives. It's not lost on me that the question comes from Dena whose saying happens to be "Do the Right Thing." This is a powerful aspect of Feng Shui. We have absolute control over the way we choose to live our lives.
We think carefully of our actions, words, thoughts and Intentions; we believe in The Law of Attraction and try to stay focused on the Blessings we have in our lives. We change our outlook on life and we begin to change our lives. Visualizing and using Positive Affirmations can help us change our thinking and our attitude.
It's SO nice to know we DO have control over our lives. Knowledge is POWER and we can change our own ‘Luck' around whether you are using Feng Shui in Long Island, New York or any other place on the globe.

Hi Carole... I have to admit, I have never had a real understanding of Feng Shui until I started reading your blog. I love what I have been reading and how strongly your passion for it comes through in your writing.
Ahhh, how I dream of Earth Luck in my home office. It would take me a shovel and a shredder to get there though. >>sigh<<

I never really knew to much about Feng Shui...
The Mandkind Luck is what we can control. Call it good karma, the Golden Rule, whatever, we need more of it in this world.

Carole- Yes, we have control over our lives. We make choices on how to live each day and the best part is that any time at any day we can make a new choice, a different choice and we can change our course.
Having awareness of our thoughts down to the point of caring how we affect other people is surely a gift in itself..... yup...the only thing we have control over is ourselves....beautiful Carole

No matter how it's said, it does come down to taking control of own lives and behavior and not only does that impact our lives but those around us.

Tigard, I do believe we USED to have more of it...I'm not sure what happened to it myself.
Liz, Part of it is similar to Western Astrology....but the other two parts we DO have control over.
Al & Peggy, I have seen the movie....it wasn't a Secret to us. It's primarily Feng Shui Principles aka The Law of Attraction.
Fred, It is complicated with many levels. I can only share the basics here but I hope people enjoy (and try) them.
Katerina, We can always change our lives and sometimes those choices aren't so difficult to make. Now when you know you're living a good life.

Jackie, That's very true, many people don't stop to think of the consequences. If they're not living a good life I believe it will catch up with them at some point.
