Feng Shui & Professor Lin Yun -- Old Westbury Long Island New York
Grandmaster Professor Lin Yun has had many accomplishments in his life. I still consider his finest to be bringing the Black Sect Method of Feng Shui to the United States in 1984, long before almost anyone here had ever HEARD of Feng Shui.
Studying since the age of six years old, Professor Lin Yun has had a long and inspiring career. He opened our Eyes to possibilities we had never dreamed of and took a subject no one was familiar with that today has become so popular and is now such a strong belief among so many people.
He taught us how to live in Harmony with Nature and create harmony and balance in our surroundings. The Black Sect Blessings and Space Clearings that are so powerful came from him and his teachings as well. From homes and apartments to large businesses and corporations, as a New York Feng Shui Consultant I am called quite often for the Blessing and Clearing of a space.
To the Chinese and many other countless people all over the World, "Chinese" Feng Shui is not a Superstition--it is a widely held Belief.
He has also taught extensively all over the World. Most notably in the United States he has presented Feng Shui at Harvard, Princeton, MIT, The UN, Yale, John Hopkins and The Library of Congress to name a few prestigious places.

"Interior Design with Feng Shui" was published in 1984. This book was written by Sarah Rossbach who had studied under Professor LinYun as one of his first students. The book was popular here with like minded people and following her second book "In Living Color" there became a great interest in the United States in Feng Shui.
Getting ready for a Blessing.
Professor Lin Yun's Monastery is located in Berkeley California and his second one is located in Old Westbury Long Island New York. Having received my Certification in Feng Shui Studies from the very first licensed and accredited school for Feng Shui Studies in it's first graduating class, we had a variety of Progressive and Well Known and respected Masters from around the World to teach us the Different Methods of Feng Shui.
RED is the Auspicious Color of Feng Shui and represents the Energy of FIRE.
It included The Form School, Black Sect, The Compass Method, Classical Feng Shui, Western Methods and more to be able to best choose the methods we felt would help each and every client.
Professor Lin Yun is on the Right. With him Vastu or Vastu Shastra (Indian form of Feng Shui) Master.
I graduated in 1997 at The Lin Yun Temple in Old Westbury Long Island New York. These pictures were taken on my 10th anniversary as a Feng Shui Consultant.
Difficult to see but that's me...10 years after becoming a Certified Feng Shui Consultant.
*Excuse the picture quality! I believe I had a 35mm back then : )

Sharon, They are old...sometimes I love technology :)
Marchel, It's more and more popular especially here in New York. Most people actually know what it is now!
Katerina, I remember reading that blog about having your entire office Feng Shui'ed. I'll say it worked!! And you and Nestor make quite a team.
Joan, I'm feeling ancient just looking at those old shots :) But yes, it's been quite a journey and still is.
Gary, He is such a wonderful and well respected person. It's amazing he started studying at age six.
Sylvie, I bought lovely Foo Dogs for my home...I'm afraid to put them out because I've had things "missing" in the last few years.
Hannah, You would love this Temple. It sits on 26 acres here on Long Island.

Carol, You are SO Sweet! These photos made me realize how OLD I am :) And it's been a long time since I've visited this wonderful place. When I go back, I will get some updated pictures (hopefully with a better quality :)!
Hello Carole--Each time I visit your site I learn something about Feng Shui or something else good, like Nathan's Hot Dogs. Nice photo, too.
