Feng Shui in a New York Business: Feng Shui Fitness in New York City

Feng Shui in a New York Business:  Feng Shui Fitness in New York City

As a New York City based Feng Shui Consultant, I am often called for Homes and Apartments and for all types of New York Businesses and Corporations.  The art of Feng Shui here in New York is in the mainstream and calls are often for Retail stores, Restaurants and other types of Businesses.

The principles of Feng Shui for a Business are different in many cases then they are for a home.  In a business, we want to attract and keep clients, have a wonderful staff to work with and always increase their Wealth and their Growth.

Fitness Centers and Martial Arts call me in quite often to access their space. We look at the areas of the Bagua and check their office space closely as it is where the billing and marketing is done.  If there are Cash Registers, the placement of them can be critical in determining the success of their business.

We also think about Processor Energy and like to clear a Business before it opens or when it is have any issues.  This Fitness Center located in Midtown New York wanted to grow to include a new Martial Arts Center they wanted to form.  Proper placement of Mirrors, Equipment, Registers, Office Space and Colors were addressed using Feng Shui Principles.

A thorough Space Clearing followed the Feng Shui Consultation in New York and I maintained contact with my clients.  They implemented the suggestions and in just a short time had attracted many new clients as well as had begun marketing their new Martial Arts Center for when it opened.

Carole

I can see the importance of using Feng Shui principles in a dojo; more free flowing energy and allowing the sensei's to help their students tap into their chi.

VERY NICE WORK!

[This is NOT what I mean by placing a plant in your Wealth Area :)]

HAHA!

When you placed the equipment in the fitness center, did you take into consideration the type/function of the equipment? For instance, the free weights in the center (earth), yoga mats in the front (water), cardio in the back (fire) . . . ???

(I told you I'm a wannabe) ;)

Carole: what a tremendous post! I agree with Candice, you make the point well with the plant in the wealth area. I keep looking for a money plant to put in my house. Any suggestions?

Carole, Every time I read one of your posts I wish you were closer so that I could have you analyze my home and work space.  You are such a wealth of Feng Shui knowledge.  NY is very lucky to have you!

That's just so cool. While I'm not all that schooled in Feng Shui (I know just the basic principles), I'm always intrigued by your blogs and experiences.

If you ever make it to NC, I'm calling you to take a look at my place!

Ha Ha, on the plant.

Good job Carole,  I don't think I ever heard you post on a business before.

Of course you should do this.

I love the plant comment! I really had to laugh!  Carole - this is remarkable and it just shows that feng shui is part of every aspect of our lives.

We run into these "sort of alive" plants in staging all of the time also.  I know that people don't want to give up on their babies, but sometimes it's best to let them go...=o(  My mom the retired florist, used to take them home from her shop, and my dad would nurse them back to health in their backyard.  It is a jungle out there! =o)

Not only amusing, also thought provoking, Carole.  Not that I know much about Feng Shui in New York or elsewhere but I never even considered applying it to a place of business. Thanks for expanding our mindset!

Tom, Martial Arts places have called me more then a few times for Feng Shui Consultations.  They are very much aware of the Principles and believe in Feng Shui.

Candice, Wow, what an eye, I'm impressed :)  The mirrors were already up so it's something we had to work around with placement.  Most of the equipment was set up for a good flow and enough room in the space but we always look at the specific areas to see if the energy of the object fits with that gua.  I laughed when I saw the plant :)

Janice, Look at Peace Lilys.  They come in all sizes and bloom during the Spring and Summer.  The leaves are rounded and they are the only plants that can help deflect electro magnetic energy, something we all have too much of!  Putting it in a clay pot will enhance the Earth Element.

Diane, I love working in homes and businesses, each have different things to be aware of andit's always fun to work with such lovely people.

Craig, I think it's wonderful that you know the basics of Feng Shui, you can always build on that knowledge.   I will be in NC one day, just don't know when yet.

Missy, I do Feng Shui for many businesses.  I have been called for almost every imaginable business including retail and restaurants.  These consults are different from home consultations but they're ALL wonderful.

Joan, I had to laugh when I saw that as well :)  With my usual finesse I said something like "Just want do you think THAT plant is going to do for you?"  Filed under 'Fun moments with Clients'

Cheryl, I see some that clients hate to get rid of (and I honestly don't blame them) because they are trying SO HARD to save them!  I ask them if it's more then 1/2 dead to let it go.....Fair compromise.

Pat, It does work and I love nothing more then those follow up emails or phone calls to tell me of their success!

Ken, It made us all laugh, actually :)  I have some really fun times with clients and I think they enjoy that it's not all such serious matters :)  Thanks for your comment.

Irene, Missy said the same thing, I'm surprised.  I've been doing all types of businesses for so many years and big Corporations use it!  It's wonderful to have that many people listen to a speech or see the results of a Feng Shui consultation.

OH COOL! I have a peace lily and I am going to repot it in terra cotta and move it to my center table!

Feng Shui is the best magic there is. :)

Thank you again Carole!

Candice, I love Peace Lilys but they grow...fast!  You might want to get a larger pot then you would normally choose!
