Yesterday I began a blog to show you all the lovely sights I was able to capture on a particularly pleasant day spent in Farmingdale, Long Island, New York at the annual Tribute to Veteran's at Republic Air Force Base. There was a spectacular show which went to Jones Beach and back and an incredible display of all things from the wars to honor our Veteran's.
It was a picture perfect day for some of the stunts, taking to so many of the former Veteran's who attended and seeing this incredible exhibition. Here are the rest of the pictures from yesterday, a Special Tribute to all our Veterans.
The anose art. You were allowed to climb into the planes which looked SO much bigger from the outside!
Ok, I couldn't resist...ALL the kids were doing it :)
The old planes were truly magnificent.
Preparing for takeoff.
Vechiles from long ago.
These planes were moving at the speed of light--or so it seemed! I'm surprised my camera captured it.
Twists, turns and lots of fun. If you get a chance to see one of the BEST tributes on a Memorial Day weekend, head down to Farmingdale, Long Island, New York to catch one of the most spectacular shows--and pay tribute.
Our day ended at a Restaurant in Farmingdale called The 56th Fighter Group. It is a lovely place with a flair for looking that it is an old building from war time.
