A New York Feng Shui Consultant--And some New York City ENERGY!

A New York Feng Shui Consultant-New York City ENERGY!

There is something about the ENERGY of New York City that I haven't quite felt in other places.  If you've never been here, it's difficult to describe-and if you HAVE been here, I don't have to.

New York had a spectacular four days...weather wise.  Sunny and WARM, it was more Summer then Spring.  And a Feng Shui Consultant still needs to play : )  When I heard the forecast, I thought CENTRAL PARK.  It was going to be such a beautiful day for a stroll through the park.

I don't rush in New York City-I'm always afraid I'm going to miss something!  I stroll.  A few others do as well, but for the most part New York is one fast-moving City.  Don't stop short even while walking, you'll still get run over.

Taking our time, Laura Cerrano and I walked up to the park from Penn Station trying to take it all in.  In a City with 8 million people, I think every SINGLE one of them had the same thought!  We made it to the park....and realized something:  Sometimes it's not the destination, it's the Journey.  Here's some photos of a beautiful day in New York City taken with a Feng Shui Perspective.

Carole, you took some great photos and taught me some things about Feng Shui (colors and numbers).
I'm embarrassed to say that I've never been to New York City... but now I want to see St. Patrick's Cathedral.

OMG Carole I swear I did not see this before I did my post today.  But I used a very similar line about the journey being the treasure.  The pics are great and I am happy you had a good day in the park.

Looks like you had a great time, and that's what counts. Isn't it amazing how you see Feng Shui in everything. I know I'll look at a house or office and thinkg- Bad Feng Shui with that furniture arrangement, etc.

Hope your weekend is just as good as your NY day!

Carole--One thing I remember from my business trips to NYC was that you walk everywhere! I did tradeshows (both as a buyer and seller) so there was free time once set up. Walking and people watching was the only thing I remember doing in NYC as there are so many wonderful places to go and things to see. It is a beautiful city.

Great photos Carole!  I know exactly what you mean.  My first career was in retailing and we would travel to NYC for buying trips.  Now retailing and the fashion industry is high pressure already but when we were in NYC it was like everything was kicked up a notch!

Hi Carole - all your blogs about New York City make me want to come back again! Your city is fast paced ( we did stroll through central park, but kept up a pace with new york pedestrains everywhere else LOL ). The architecture is awesome, there is always something going on with street vendors. Thanks for sharing your city & experiences!

Sincerely,

Grace

Carole, How fun!!  There's just nothing like the energy of NYC.  While my daughter was living there I went as often as I could.  She is now commuting so I have lost my room but I enjoyed it while I could!!  I can now still live it through her flickr site.

Thanks for the tour...one of these days I will actually get further than the airport there :)  I loved that 1st building and the Cathedral.

Katerina, Thank you.  I love the City and never, EVER get tired of showing it :)

Sylvie, New York City is one place you CAN'T miss!  You will love every second here!

Mara, You always make me laugh, thank you!  I'm delighted with a NINE.

Hi Sharon, I took a few days out of AR.  Goodness knows what I missed.  It is magical in New York, I've been to many cities that I love but it's still my favorite.  Come one day, you'll fall in love.

Cheryl, Thank you for stopping by!  I love NY so I love to show it!

Gita, Most people that have been here once always want to come back.  I think there are misconceptions about NYC and it's not like it was years and years ago.

Jo, You better get here one day....you cannot miss seeing New York City!  If I love it, I believe you will too.

Paddy, You had a great post!  What do they say about Great Minds??  lol

Linda, It's true, I learned to see with "Feng Shui Eyes" and you can't turn them off!  I didn't really realize it before your comment!

Teri, I walk until I drop.  It IS facinating seeing so much diversity here and there is always something going on!  The Spring and Summer are wonderful with not only the Park but all the wonderful events they have.

Pat, I love this place so I go as often as I can....and people love NY (most of them, anyway :)

Diane, That's big business here :)  I don't know when you came but so much has changed in NYC over the years....in a very GOOD way!  You can walk through Washington Square Park, Times Square and even Central Park without worrying---years ago it was a bit frightening.

Grace, Don't you need to come back anyway?  To get engaged again all over here!  What a wonderful story that is, I'll never forget it!

Marchel, If my daughter ever moves there, I'll call you :)  You'll have a place to stay again!  Funny that I'm an hour away but used to stay over in the City (it is SO nice waking up there).  Now you can't find a room for much under $300 a night...those days are over--  for now.

Kathy, I KNOW you would love this place, I know it!!  You will get here on day and I can promise you're gong to have a blast!

I love New York!  Thank for taking us on a journey of New York City.  There is "energy" there that I have never experienced anywhere else.  I hope to get back there again before too long.

Carole:  I always enjoy your outings in New York City.  I've never been there but you make me feel like I have.  Just love to imagine strolling through the city and seeing the sites that you so beautifully describe and picture in your posts.

The reason why there is so much energy in New York City is because there is so much to do, and after doing it all, one has no energy left. New York City saps it out of you. LOL

The only time I was in New York City I was constantly tired. That might have something to do with visiting the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, the World Trade Center, the Empire State Building, the Chrysler Building, the Bronx Zoo, Flushing Meadows, the Dakota Building, Strawberry Fields, Central Park, Central Park, Central Park, Central Park, the "upper east side" (from The Jeffersons), Central Park, Central Park, Central Park, Battery Park, Fifth Avenue, Metropolitan Museum of Art, Central Park, Radio City Music Hall, Carnegie Hall, Central Park, Broadway, Metropolitan Opera House, Avery Fisher Hall, Greenwich Village, the Julliard School, Central Park, Manhattan School of Music, and, of course, Central Park.

Wow. Now I'm tired again.

Hi, I will some it all up for every one new York is the greatest city in world and it can not be duplacated .

It's so true there is no lack of things to do in New York City....it doesn't even matter if it's the middle of the night!  I have so much more energy when I'm in the city--I always manage to wait until I am back home to collapse.

I have to agree, there is no place like NYC.  I love San Francisco and Boston and they both make great runners-up (or I may just be partial) but the Energy in New York is like no where else!
