William B. Umstead State Park in North Carolina

 

Umstead State Park is a great place to bring your family and explore solo. Its constantly bustling with activity and with 5,579 acres of woodlands, various biking and hiking trails and 3 man-made fishing lakes, you'll have plenty to do.  You could even trek into Umstead and camp out.

I enjoyed a 5 mile hike along the Company Trail. I really took my time enjoying the sights above, listening to an abundance of singing birds and observing the hints of Spring being just around the corner. 

Just imagine what this park looks like in full bloom!
