Did some updating with back links and post to other blog sites for google searches.  Worked on the Logo Design for a client. Re-scheduled Thursdays Feng Shui consultation in Brooklyn because of un-canny driving and traveling conditions. We set it for Monday instead, a very auspicious date, the 3rd....lucky :)

Day 27

Put up a Feng Shui New Year post. Continuing to update and working on getting localism post material. De-cluttering and clearing out my home for the New Year...one day left :) But, remember you also have the Chinese New Year to celebrate Feburary 3rd, 2011.

Stuck in because of all the snow we had in the New York area. Put up a post about the blizzard in New York and did some simple updating.

oo and yes, my brother, friends and I went sleigh riding. we could not resist :) Very fun!!

Day 23

Today I put up a post and will make a Feng Shui based Video to help provide tips :) I Contacted a client to collaborate with marketing ideas, this will be very fun to do once all is set in place:)

going to do some more updating and finish sketches for a logo design along with painting.

Confirmed with a client in Brooklyn for this Thursday, hopefully the streets or/and the subway systems will be in better conditions...if not we'll postpone till next week.

Well, for a while the weather men and women cried wolf and we all stopped believing what they said.  Ha Ha jokes on us now :) Mother nature hit New York with various amounts of snow.  In Farmingdale NY we have about 26 inches, stinks for driving but is wonderful for sleigh riding :)

Set up appointments for Monday in New York city for a Feng Shui consultation. Called up a few clients to wish them and their families happy holidays :) Pre-pared for Christmas day and spent Christmas Eve with Grandma Rose :)

Christmas Day! Took the day off and just enjoyed the company of family and friends :) Hope you all had a very Merry Christmas :)

Day 23

Unfortunately I had to cancel the Monday scheduled appointment due to the New York Winter Storm of 2010, heading out with a bang Mother Nature :)  Cleaned up my home and made room for all the wonderful and useful presents Santa sent from the North Pole, scheduled another Feng Shui consultation for Thursday in Brooklyn NY...hopefully the weather holds out.

Getting back into the swing of things a bit with updating and Posting :) Tomorrow I will Official jump back on to the "work wagon" :)

A Name Says it all so choose Wisely by Feng Shui Long Island consultant Laura Cerrano

The Viana Hotel and Spa went through a trial of names before "Viana"came to be.  Certified Feng Shui Consultants Carole Provenzale and Laura Cerrano of Feng Shui Long Island made sure to educate hotel owner Alan Mindel about the great importance of choosing a name that has meaning behind the word or words. Everything you do in Feng Shui has intention, just as in life...it makes a world of difference with your results.

At the beginning of the project, Alan was contemplating naming the hotel, "The Brush Hollow Inn" because it was the name of the road and geographically, it made sense.  From a Feng Shui Perspective, Carole and Laura strongly disagreed.  Please understand, Carole and Laura payed great attention to detail and recognized the name, "The Brush Hollow Inn" would not benefit him and the success of the hotel.

Carole Provenzale said to Alan, think about the name of this Feng Shui Based hotel, "Hollow means empty and brush means brushing away". That is not the kind of "message" or energy you want your hotel to be associated with. Again, a name says it all, so choose wisely. Alan listened, did his research and hired a firm to create a mindful name for the hotel.

Eventually Alan and his family agreed on the word "Viana" to be placed with the title "Hotel and Spa".

Yesterday, December 19th, 2010, Crayton's Looang Foo Pai Kung Fu Tai Chi Academy in Farmingdale New York held a Ceremony honoring Students and their Martial Arts Teachers for their accomplishments in training.The Ceremony was beautiful.

Crayton's Looang Foo Pai Kung Fu Tai Chi Academy has been in Farmingdale NY for four years and continues to grow and flourish everyday.  For a few years Laura Cerrano Feng Shui Long Island New York consultant has been intrigued with the principles and lifestyle of Martial Arts. From what Laura has learned so far, she understands the lifestyle of a Feng Shui consultant goes hand and hand with that of a Martial Artist. 

Grand Master George Crayton Jr., ZongShi Demonstrating Tai Chi. Originally Tai Chi was used to defend yourself and if needed to kill in combat. Even tho the movements are "slow", when you understand why and how to preform the proper techniques, Tai Chi can be very powerful. 

Grand master George Crayton Jr., ZongShi's School is unique because they honor tradition. He teaches you the deeper meanings and history of Kung Fu and Tai Chi. He does not shy away from sharing life lessons and experiences that not only help to build your body and mind..but, your spirit as well.  ZongShi also teaches his students to appreciate what is in their lives because, "nothing last forever". He is honest, respectful and very knowledgeable.

Laura set her intentions out to study with Masters and Mentors in the Martial Arts that were mindful, patient, diverse, respectful, knowledgeable and honored tradition.  Eventually she found her way to ZongShi's school in Farmingdale NY. It was there the whole time, she  just didn't allow herself to see.

Another interesting fact, Laura was seeking Lion Dancers to complete the blessings ceremony for the Grand Opening of the Viana Hotel and Spa in Westbury NY.  The first time she entered into Crayton's Looang Foo Pai Kung Fu Tai Chi Academy, she glanced to my left and saw his walls lined with Lion heads for blessing and celebratory ceremonies.   Perfect match :)

Attended a Ceremony to Support fellow students of Kung Fu class moving up in ranks and to give thanks to Crayton's Looang Foo Pai Kung Fu Tai Chi Academy for providing the Lion Dancers for the Viana Hotel and Spa Grand opening in Westbury NY.  I will be writing a Localism Post about the Academy :)
