Builders and Feng Shui - New Construction with Feng Shui in Long Island New York

As a Feng Shui Consultant in New York it is always a pleasure to receive a call from a Builder who wants to make sure the buildings he is creating have Good Feng Shui.

Feng Shui and New Construction is not new in New York but it can be a challenge.  Feng Shui Consultants check (and double check) so many things for a Builder.  We look at Site Selection first.  With a limited amount of space for new Buildings, we access the sizes and the ground for Geopathic Stress.

Working on a New Construction on Long Island New York also means working closely with Architects for Good Feng Shui Design.

 Feng Shui Consultants in New York also work with things like Street Energy, Redresser Energy (of what, if anything, was formerly on the land), Interior Designers to institute a good flow of Energy and Design with Good Feng Shui Elements.  We also work with Artists who have an understanding of Feng Shui what we are trying to create.

Feng Shui Consultants in Long Island New York also have to work with endless Building Codes; often a site is designed and re-designed several times.  Long Island weather is also a factor in New Construction; buildings come to a halt during bad weather and delays are inevitable.

A New Feng Shui Building starts as only an IDEA.  Watching it come to life, however, is a thrill!  As the Feng Shui Building progresses, so do you.  Obstacles come up and a good Feng Shui Consultant has to think of ways around them while staying in the perimeters of what can and can NOT be done.

Feng Shui in a New York Business:  Feng Shui Fitness in New York City

As a New York City based Feng Shui Consultant, I am often called for Homes and Apartments and for all types of New York Businesses and Corporations.  The art of Feng Shui here in New York is in the mainstream and calls are often for Retail stores, Restaurants and other types of Businesses.

The principles of Feng Shui for a Business are different in many cases then they are for a home.  In a business, we want to attract and keep clients, have a wonderful staff to work with and always increase their Wealth and their Growth.

Fitness Centers and Martial Arts call me in quite often to access their space. We look at the areas of the Bagua and check their office space closely as it is where the billing and marketing is done.  If there are Cash Registers, the placement of them can be critical in determining the success of their business.

We also think about Processor Energy and like to clear a Business before it opens or when it is have any issues.  This Fitness Center located in Midtown New York wanted to grow to include a new Martial Arts Center they wanted to form.  Proper placement of Mirrors, Equipment, Registers, Office Space and Colors were addressed using Feng Shui Principles. 

A thorough Space Clearing followed the Feng Shui Consultation in New York and I maintained contact with my clients.  They implemented the suggestions and in just a short time had attracted many new clients as well as had begun marketing their new Martial Arts Center for when it opened. 

This is NOT what I mean by placing a plant in your Wealth Area :)

A Feng Shui Home in Queens New York---A Forest Hills NY House in Need of Feng Shui

As a New York Feng Shui Consultant I travel to so many different places of New York City, Long Island, Brooklyn and, of course, the borough of Queens NY, just on the border of Nassau County.

I love to provide Feng Shui Consultations in Queens because of its neighborhoods and diversity.  I have been in different parts of Jamaica, Flushing, and Ozone Park and quite often get called for Feng Shui Help in the beautiful section know as Forest Hills NY.

Forest Hills in Queens have a mixture of Apartments, Condos and beautiful houses.  In fact, it's where my cousins grew up and I've spent a lot of time there in my younger days!

My client had just one request from her Feng Shui Consultation.  She wanted to find a partner; not ANY partner but the RIGHT partner.  She was looking for a relationship.  She was young, attractive, had a wonderful career but had not yet met Mr. Right.  We set out not just to assess her Relationship area of the Bagua but to strengthen ALL areas of her home using the Principles of Feng Shui.

In Feng Shui Relationships, we often think in Pairs.  We like to see "twos"  --  any two objects of the same size placed together mindfully.  We look for like sized objects so we create and attract an EQUAL. 

A simple re-arrangement can be done using her existing objects.

It was suggested to this particular Feng Shui Client in Queens NY to just make some simple re-arrangements.  Her color choices were lovely from a Feng Shui Perspective and we addressed her BEDROOM to incorporate Feng Shui (clearing out under the bed, making room for a new person to enter and seeking a balance in there). 

Remember:  EQUAL sizes in Pairs.

I stay in touch with most of my clients and was not at all surprised to have gotten an email recently that she had just moved in with the perfect man.  She is in love!

A Feng Shui Business in Brooklyn New York-Welcome to Safe Hands in Canarsie!

Funny, my Feng Shui Consultations are for New York City, Long Island and Queens.  Most of the time, I don't do Feng Shui Consultations in Brooklyn New York.

Except for the lovely Roan Brown.  She is the owner of Safe Hands in Canarsie Brooklyn NY and I'd already done a Feng Shui Consultation for her home in Elmont Long Island.  When she asked me for some Feng Shui Tips and Advice for her incredible Day Care Center in Brooklyn, I couldn't say no.

Roan intrigues me; she now has a knowledge of Feng Shui from our last consultation but she has the BEST story of someone who learned about Feng Shui-and saw that it worked!

•1.               Safe Hands is a Brooklyn Business located at 1603 9^5th Street, Caransie, Brooklyn.  Safe Hands Day Care - (718) 763-6141 - Canarsie Brooklyn, NY 11236 ...      It's much more than just a Business to Roan, it is her passion. 

We discussed Feng Shui Colors (as you can see from these lovely pictures) and stimulating children to LEARN and get involved.  I was with Laura Cerrano of Feng Shui Manhattan and both were engrossed in speaking of the different approaches to have children get excited about learning.  Laura is a teacher as well as a Feng Shui Consultant and Roan could relate to both.

Safe Hands Day Care accepts pre-school children and helps them thrive.  It is a huge center with two attached buildings and a total of SIX FLOORS of learning and they do accept 24 hour service for emergencies. 

We had several Feng Shui Adjustments to make, particularly in her Office.  She said she knew it wasn't set up optimally from a Feng Shui Perspective and although it was a small space, organizing and better positioning of the desks for her and her assistant would greatly benefit her.

Feng Shui Money-How One Client Made A Bundle  This was truly the BEST story I've ever heard of a client who stumbled upon Feng Shui!  (Does not open in a new window--I'm working on it :)

Where's YOUR Fame?  Feng Shui in Huntington Long Island NY

In my travels through Long Island New York as a Feng Shui Consultant, I am fortunate to come across some unique places.  One entire section of the Bagua in Feng Shui is related to the area of "Fame." 

Getting YOUR NAME out to the Universe is a huge Principle of Feng Shui.  Although we wonk on Intention, we also require ACTION.  It can be a bit unnerving for some of my Feng Shui Clients on Long Island to open their door (and their lives) to a Feng Shui Consultant; many don't know exactly what to expect .In ANY business you are in, you'll want to put your clients at ease.

I want my clients to feel comfortable and I try to avoid THE GRAND ENTRANCE.  I don't want my clients to be intimidated, just comfortable.  So do you.  Recently on a Feng Shui Consultation in the lovely town of Huntington Long Island, I passed Oheka Castle.  These people obviously believe in a Grand Entrance:

I once went to do a second Feng Shui Consultation for a client for her business.  I'd done her Feng Shui Consultation for her home by phone because she lived at a distance but she wanted me there in person for her business.  When she opened her door, we looked straight at eachother-eye to eye.  We were just about the same height-all of 5'1. 

She looked a bit shocked to see me in person and I was worried if my picture represented me in a real light.  She blurted out one of the nicest things anyone has ever said to me:

"I never imagined you'd be so short. With all your wisdom, I was expecting someone MUCH taller."  By all means, remember to Get YOUR name out to the Universe.  Always remember to Create your Fame and to take Action; just don't make your entrance TOO Grand.    And if you're short, you might want to prepare you clients : )

The Pathways of Feng Shui in Oyster Bay Long Island NY

As a Feng Shui Consultant in New York, I am often faced with the different pathways in life I can choose.  We ALL make these decisions; some are difficult paths to choose but I wonder:  If we only choose the easy paths to follow, are we really challenging ourselves?

There is a unique part of Long Island New York called Oyster Bay.  I am in different parts of Oyster Bay quite often, whether it's for a Feng Shui Consultation or just to enjoy the beauty of what was once known as The Gold Coast of Long Island.  On this particular day I was in the Planting Fields Arboretum and wandered down paths I wouldn't normally have followed.

Today, this New York Feng Shui Consultant thought about PATHS we choose in life.  To not step out of our usual paths would keep us stuck yet to venture out into the unknown if frightening for some.

Take the challenge.  Take a different road if the one you're on isn't working for you.  Although change can be frightening, it can also lead you to the light....or enlightenment. 

That can be a pretty nice place to be.  And if you visit Long Island NY, be sure to see The Planting Fields Arboretum in Oyster Bay where you can choose any of these beautiful "roads." You might even run into this Long Island Feng Shui Consultant!

A Feng Shui Consultant in New York---Have YOU Connected with Nature?

In Feng Shui we seek Balance and Harmony in our lives and in our spaces.  A huge principle that Feng Shui Consultants follow is to allow the OUTSIDE IN as a way to re-connect with nature.

The Feng Shui Home-Feng Shui on Long Island New York-A Roslyn Home

As a New York Feng Shui Consultant, I am in different homes on Long Island, New York City, Queens, Brooklyn and beyond.  I love working with my clients to address Feng Shui issues that might be found in their homes.

The front door should not be directly opposite a staircase.  In many schools of thought in Feng Shui, when you enter one of these homes your energy will automatically "sweep" up.  We sometimes forget Energy is supposed to flow through a space, it is not supposed to struggle to get around.

Some of our homes just need less furniture or furniture with "rounded corners" to deflect what we think of as "cutting chi" or "cutting sha"....Sharp points that can cut right into your Energy field.   I have, on a few rare occasions, seen homes that were built with Feng Shui principles.  I believe builders will soon become more apt to build to suit their clients wishes.

It is astounding how quickly Feng Shui has grown in the last decade.  When I began my Feng Shui Business in New York about 13 years ago, almost no one knew what Feng Shui WAS.  Now, almost everyone I meet has some knowledge, interest and understanding of it.

This home in Roslyn Long Island New York is a beauty.  However, I doubt they will continue building this way.  My client did know about the sweep of Energy that can occur and although she had addressed it by deflecting the swift upward sweep, she wondered what else she could do.

I recommended a crystal...I love crystals although I use them sparingly in Feng Shui.  Round, faceted crystals, among other things, help to DIFFUSE Energy and keep it flowing through a space. I also recommended to my client that she put something on the landing upstairs to help stop the feeling of upward motion and to feel more grounded.

In Feng Shui, we always look for BALANCE.  I suggested she balance the lovely artwork on BOTH sides to direct the eye.  Some Feng Shui Consultants might suggest a mirror at the top of the staircase but I always hold a mirror up before hanging it to get the feeling of it.  In this particular case, it intensified the upward sweep.

There is no one solution for everyone who wants to make a Feng Shui Cure.  There are general guidelines in Feng Shui but each home or business must be evaluated individually.  See how it FEELS after you make a change and don't be afraid, you can always correct it.
