The "REAL" Scoop on Feng Shui: (Let's Get Personal Now) By: Feng Shui Long Island

The scope of Feng Shui is so far reaching, I wonder how many people realize it yet. Sometimes all it entails is difficult for ME to absorb.  We know it's about Energy Flow, furniture placement, color choices, directions, objects we can use, different methods and schools and hundreds of topics and principles.  Years ago in school the first thing we heard every morning was the word "Mindfulness."  And to never forget that Feng Shui brings out the TRUTH.

Feng Shui starts with YOU and your lifestyle.  If you want to get back what you put out, make sure you are putting out the very best.  It's a Universal Law, I believe, that what goes around comes around.  If you don't live by those words, how can you expect the wonderful things you want to create to come to you?  We need to remember to always have respect and plain common courtesy to others, to value their opinions and beliefs (even if they differ from yours), to live a Lifestyle that is consistent with Feng Shui Principles in every aspect of your life.  And to do it WITHOUT expectations.

It is, simply, to Do The Right Thing, to borrow a phase from our very own DENA STEVENS.  The clients that have the most difficulties in having Feng Shui work are not forthright and upfront, honest, caring and empathetic in their relationships or the way they choose to live their lives.  They are, thankfully, few and far between, but I have seen it over the course of my years.  They should not expect wonderful things to come their way when they are not being the best person they can be in ALL areas.

How do YOU choose to live?  Are you trying to find the bright spot even in a negative situation, are you doing what you can to help others, clients, friends, associates and even strangers?  Are you, simply, Doing the Right Thing to everyone you come across while not losing yourself or neglecting yourself in the process?  While we have all seen a share of negativity from certain people, I believe you will find that on ANY site and Activerain has so many more positive, helpful people then I have seen on other sites.  I truly believe most of the people on here realize what an important principle this is and truly "Do the Right Thing."  Not only for others, but for themselves as well.

When you think of Feng Shui, go to the core:  The lifestyle you live, the random acts of kindness you provide others, your values.  This is at the very heart of Feng Shui.  If you've ever thought it was just decorating, it is about the TRUTH.

So What do you get when you add "Sugar" to the Mix? A VERY noisey household!

Just when I'm trying to simplify my life, a friend calls.  But she's upset, more upset then I've heard her in a very long time.  She had been forced to "downscale" in her life and last year sold her house and went back to renting.  It was terribly difficult on her but she couldn't make the payments anymore and her main problem was finding a place that would accept her dog.  There are very few places on Long Island that will rent if you have a pet; I've seen my friends renting for years and they have the same problem.

She finally got a place and almost from day one, had problems with her landlady.  The landlady would ask her things she didn't think were fair (to park around the block, for example so her "view" isn't obstructed and my friend in some retaliation went back on some of her promises--to help shovel or do some yardwork, for example).  I don't think either one could wait for the year lease to be up and my friend was at it again, looking for an apartment that would take her, her grown children and her dog, Sugar.  I've known Sugar as long as I've known this friend and have always loved her.  She is intelligent, completely trained, a great watch-dog, and, well, sweet....that is, if you know her.  She is also quite protective and LOUD.  And BIG.....way bigger then I am and has a bark you can hear a block away.

My dog is a Shih-Tzu, a little "Buddy."  He's still in his "baby" stage so he's still wild and he doesn't bark...he cries.  He cries if the doorbell or the phone rings (I think he thinks I'm hearing impaired :)  But he's a sweetheart.  She's crying, my friend, because although her new landlord said she could keep the dog, he's terribly allergic to it and she has to get rid of her--NOW.

You guessed it.  Sugar is now living with me, my Skylar is probably wondering why on earth I have a horse in the house and they are getting used to each other, slowly. And Sugar barks at EVERYTHING, any little noise.  This is new to my little Sky and this afternoon I heard him join in, for the first time!  Kinda cute....and VERY LOUD.

So, I have a new, trained, loud, protective addtion to my family....and if I don't trip over her, it will be a miracle.  Here she is:

Feng Shui Long Island's SugarI think she's a Rottweiler but cute, huh?  If she doesn't eat the little one and I can afford to feed her, I'm doing well :)

The House That Feng Shui Built -- Lovely Woodbury, Long Island, New York

If someone with this couple's profession and aspirations on what they would like to create had called me in to assist them in a new construction, I don't believe I could have done a better job then what I found in this beautiful home in Woodbury, Long Island.  They had not, in fact, called anyone in, the couple designed it themselves.

A bit about these wonderful clients and why they called.  They had bought this home from the original homeowner (who had moved up in the world) and not long after they purchased it, a storm devastated much of the home.  They had a decision whether to renovate everything or just "start over."  In fact, there was so little left of the home, they chose to rebuild it.  This home belongs to a very prominent doctor with a rare specialty in a specific form of surgery.  If you read my previous post about health concerns, I have to mention that he had not yet he mentioned in passing that this surgery helps people to get out of pain.....and he accepts ALL patients, whether or not they have insurance.  But with his wishes to grow, he also needs to increase his own income.  I wondered whether he had built the home (and the land) with Feng Shui principles that he had learned by himself but in fact they both knew very little about Feng Shui.

They said they were away on vacation and discussing some changes they were making to their business and a man who was eating nearby came over.  He said he was a Feng Shui Master and had overheard part of what they wanted to do.  Although they had never heard of Feng Shui, this man explained to them what it is, how it works and how the changes would likely affect their business.  They were both so taken with it, when they came home they decided to have someone come to their home to advise on color choices and furniture they had not as yet purchased.  They only issue they really had was that he was having some issues with a particular person in their business.  And because they wanted to help more people, they wished to open another center for surgery.

Here's what I found, from beginning to end and you can see for yourself how this home supports their wishes and dreams in every area, inside and out.  Another story told in pictures:

Feng Shui Long IslandThey are still deciding on artwork and accessories while keeping the home light.

Feng Shui Consultant, WoodburyThe view of the pool in a wavy shape from their bedroom balcony.  On the right leads to their wealth area which they had built UP on the land. As a matter of fact, both their WEALTH and RELATIONSHIP areas had been built UP and were considerably higher then the rest of the land.

Feng Shui Consultant, Woodbury, Long IslandAnd what was done to address FAME, a key element for this couple.  Here is the extention they had "unknowingly" built in the Fame Area.

Long Island Feng Shui ConsultantOk, I was about to get their Wealth area but got this little guy, instead :)  Their wealth area was not only built up, it was supported by rocks around the outside of it, supporting it.

New York Feng Shui ConsultantTheir relationship area, which relates to business as well as personal relationships.  While difficult to see, I felt the rocks were too heavy and suggested that he put a statue of a couple or a small table and two chairs.  Funny, he said he had been thinking of the table because he loves to sit up there, under the shade.  What do they say about "great minds"? :)

New York City Feng Shui ConsultantAnother set of doors leading to the backyard.  While still in the process of decorating, I was able to advise them on furniture and accessories while keeping the "light" feeling in the home.

Feng Shui Long Island, New York CityThe Master bedroom.  My clients advised me that they had a metal bed which was being repaired.  Metal beds are not advised in Feng Shui due to electro magnetic energy and I advised them to keep this bed, center and balance it.  This room and other parts of this home are still a work in progress.

Auspicious Feng Shui inside this home and out.  With the suggestions I was able to give them and what they want to accomplish, they will do very, very well; your home supports your business.

A Very REAL Feng Shui Challange in Syosset, Long Island, New York

I am showing some pictures on this post that some of you have probably run into at one time or another.  Please note:  I am NOT showing them to have any disparaging comments made about these clients, but rather just to let you realize that oftentimes people don't realize what they are living with.  They have become so used to clutter and as it builds, they don't even realize it.  Things then start to happen in their life that are not good aspects and they don't understand why.  I come across this more often then you might think and my job here is to help inspire and encourage them to tackle the number one principle of Feng Shui---To DeClutter.  It is impossible to allow new, good energy to enter when there is simply no room for it to ENTER.

These clients, as all of my clients, are wonderful people.  They were wrapped up in what colors and what type of new furniture to purchase when they had not addressed the first problem.  Letting go.  It is difficult for some people as you know.  This is NOT hoarding, I have seen that as well and distinctly recall James Frazier's post "The Psychology of Hoarding" which struck a nerve with me because those people need some help to figure out WHY they are hoarding. It is a symbol of a deeper issue.

These clients needed help in learning HOW to let go.  When I work with people that have accumulated too many things and it's gotten out of control, I have found that breaking the area down to one single part of a room or closet will help them to begin.  Giving them inspiration and motivation helps them.  Or I will set a time limit on how long to take at a time, one hour three times a week, say, so when that hour is up they know they have made headway and they can stop.  I am never critical nor do I make any disparaging remarks.  I need to encourage and inspire and motivate them.  And give them many follow ups with positive energy.

A brief history:  This home is located in Syosset, Long Island, NY.  The couple had owned the home for 11 years and they lived on the upper floor.  One set of parents lived downstairs.  About a year after moving in, his mother had a stroke.  This sets off an alarm for me and I asked if there had been any leaks.  There was and in fact what had started off as a drip got considerable worse and had never been fixed. And then had suffered another. If you've read previous posts, leaks relate to health issues, specifically BLOOD FLOW---or lack of it.  So before any decluttering could be done, that leak HAD to be repaired.  I went through every area of their home and gave them specifics to break things down and the order to do them and asked for phone calls to keep me updated.

He is wonderful about calling to let me know the progress; the leak was finally fixed (it was the first time in MANY years they used their own bathroom, they had been going downstairs to bathe and shower) and were working hard to lighten up everything.  In baby steps because otherwise it would become too overwhelming.  As of this writing, they are still "lightening" the load and his wife was offered a NEW JOB FOR MORE MONEY.  She is not sure she wants it, but I take that as a very good sign they are making progress!

Feng Shui Synchronicity at Work---Back to Northport, Long Island

I should be used to these types of things by now, that is if you can ever really GET used to them.  They happen often enough in my life and still astound me.  A recent blog post and the things that have happened in just the last few days make me always remember that something much more powerful then ourselves are at work at times.  This is one of those times.

A recent blog I posted Scared Away with Feng Shui? How I "lost" my client in Northport, Long Island New York was about the fact that I hadn't heard from this lovely client and believed Feng Shui and the changes that occured since her consultation made her "back off."  She had many changes during the first two weeks of our consultation, starting from the day I left her home.  This post may not make sense unless you read the original one but I watch the synchronicities and still marvel.

The following morning I woke up to this email (I am removing her address which she was kind enough to share):

I am the person who brought the dog back to  your client on ___ lane.I also brought the book , The Auspicious Goat , to her because the dog came to my door and wanted me to follow him home. The book had been delivered to my house "9"  Northport. only a few hours before the dog came. This was after twelve and a half years work. I was compelled to take the book to her but have never heard from her .You might enjoy the book because there is a whole chapter on the number "9" and over 200 photos I took on the surrounding area. When you are around our neighbourhood stop in and I will show you our Auspicious pumpkins, who at 14 days old is almost 200 pounds.Hopefully she is growing in an auspicious spot in our garden.I came upon your story by accident...that is if you believe in accidents.....Carolyn

I KNOW people find our blogs and read them, I just wasn't expecting this!  Actually, although I had changed my client's name to "Linda" and her cat to a dog, of course she recognized who I was writing about because it included her, the writer of "The Auspicious Goat."  I remember speaking with Linda and had thought she said she had a copy for me and now I wasn't sure since apparently she hadn't gone back to her neighbors home.  I wrote her back and thanked her for her email and her gracious offer and said I would give Linda a call to see if she did, in fact, have a book for me.

Well, I didn't have a chance to.  I was trying to clean out and finish up some work on my computer and going through emails that had been sitting there for almost a week.  There was a new site I had just signed on to, biz2bizli and decided to take the time and fill out my profile information.  I was just signing on and it displays who is online.  I don't know a soul on that site, it is new and I saw Linda's name.  There were exactly TWO of us online at the time, just myself and her.  I IMed her and it probably through her a bit because of my urgency...something like 'PLEASE call me asap'!  I hadn't even had a chance to call her yet and BOTH of us were signing onto the same site at the same time??

She did, sweetheart that she is.  We caught up and I finally asked her if Feng Shui and the changes had scared her off.  Not at ALL, she said, she was very open to Feng Shui and many other things.  Well, I couldn't NOT tell her about the blog but it was a difficult moment because I didn't know how she would take it.  I wanted  to tell her about the email as well from her lovely neighbor.  She went on and read the blog while we were speaking (and later went back and put a comment on it).  She told me she had not gone back to her neighbor because she thought perhaps her neighbor might feel obligated to give her one....instead, she had gone to a local store and bought one for me.  And hadn't gotten back to me, not because she was scared but because she was so busy!  Aside from the changes I wrote about in the last blog, business had increased!

I was able to write back to Carolyn that my client and I had "met up."  And we would BOTH like to see her and her Auspicious pumpkin.  What a kind offer from a wonderful person I have never even met.  Since I was thrown by the email, I had told Val what happened.  She said she sounds like such an interesting person and would like to go.  I have a feeling Carolyn is going to get a few of us----and I also have a feeling she won't mind a bit!  I will update this blog and share her website so please visit from time to time so I can post a picture of her pumpkin.  And if you are interested in reading her amazing book, "The Auspicious Goat" she can be contacted at  ZeBillyGoat@aol.com

I remember some of the comments said you thought I'd hear from her at some point...And you were right but no one could see this happening!  No accidents here, just Feng Shui and Synchronicity at work!

The Shrine-- a Beautiful Visit in Riverhead, Long Island, New York

A while back I posted some pretty pictures from inside the beautiful Monestary of Professor Lin Yin in Old Westbury, Long Island, New York.  It is one way of life and living, following beliefs and respecting eachother.  A Peek inside a Monastery: A respectful way of life in Old Westbury, Long Island, New York Long Island also has a lovely Shrine in Riverhead, where many people go to pray and respect a different belief.  I'm often suprised that many people aren't aware of it while others flock there for it's peacefulness.

I stopped to visit there recently after a Feng Shui Consultation in Riverhead and am always struck by it's beauty; maybe you will be, too.

I realize the summer is half over and while I've been to many of the places I'd like to go, there are still some I haven't gotten to.  Long Island is truly lovely this time of year and there's so much to do.  When I'm ready to spend a day driving back and forth, I haven't been out to The Hamptons yet---a MUST see, I go there every year and always find things change there.

Scared Away with Feng Shui? How I "lost" my client in Northport, Long Island New York

This is right in Val Allocco's beautiful home town, Northport, Long Island and the Feng Shui that scared my client. I will call her Linda.  I didn't know Linda prior to meeting her, but I did know OF her.  We both belong to a common group and have a few friends in common.  Still, I was surprised that she called for a consultation (and WISH I had taken pictures that day).

First of all, I love Northport.  I am almost never there but if you'd like to hear a bit about it, Val recently put up a post A Perfect Summer Daythat you would enjoy.  I actually didn't get lost (my pre GPS days) and met a sweet young woman, married with two young children.  Her home was beautiful and well decorated and I asked her who had decorated it.  She had, she is an avid watcher of HGTV and had called me primarily for the new office space she was setting up downstairs so her business would be successful.

I always address the whole house while paying particular attention to any home that has an office in.  As we spoke and I was giving her the principles of Feng Shui, I could see that she was just "getting it" faster then most.  When clients are already in tune, I can give them more information then I can get to most people.  Linda I gave a lot to, I might have overwhelmed her a bit.  She didn't know anything about the history of the house but felt it was "bad luck."  Almost from the day she moved in, she said, she'd had problems with a neighbor over a tree.  Since Linda is a very sweet, mindful person I could see this distressed her.  Money was an issue, her relationship was good she said.

One of the things I always tell my clients is that RED is the Aupicious Color for Feng Shui and 9 is the Auspicious Number.  She wasn't quite sure was auspicious was---after all, it's not a word you hear every day (except in Feng Shui).  We worked on many things that day and downstairs where her new office as going to be, I was delighted.  I found things I thought were treasures and everything I mentioned she had planned to throw out...She had a round table clock that was unique, two chairs that didn't quite match but were about the same size and shape and we had our "waiting" area.  Chair covers and that table would be ideal.  She also had a small bar made out of wood....it reminded me of a Tiki Bar.  She was going to get rid of that as well and I suggested she keep it and can have coffee for clients there.  The wall behind it was perfect for an impact wall and directly faced the entrance...her FAME area.  Red is the color we use with fame and since she had two aquariums there, it would help to balance the elements as well.

After going through everything and doing the blessings I left.  I heard from her that night.  Her cat had gotten out (she said I didn't do it but she may have just been being polite) and a neighbor she did not know called her (from his tag) and insisted she bring him back....when she got there, she had known the previous owners of the home and it's history...it was a very happy house, she said, and very much loved.  As they got to speaking she also mentioned that she had just completed a book---called "The Auspicious Goat."  (The reason for the title is that it is the oldest living goat.  Linda was surprised by this "coincidence" and wanted to let me know.  I told her there are NO coincidences.

This, briefly, is what happened over the next two weeks:  Her employee quit suddenly  and without notice. "Coincidentally" she received a call that same day from someone looking for placement through one of her groups; and she was perfect for the job just vacated....She had a new employee that same day.  After addressing her Relationship area she went to a place she had been in dozens and dozens of times looking for a photo album that she hadn't seen in two years.  She hadn't gone there that day for that but it was there and she found it, finally and was thrilled....and nervous.  She relayed each and every incident to me and I told her not to back off, she needed to keep with the flow that was happening.  I've seen this before, where things start to change almost immediately and it's not a time to stop, you break the synchronicity.  The final straw?  Her husband was adopted and had been looking for his family for many years....and found them.

So many things happening so quickly made Linda just stop making changes, it truly scared her and my urging her to continue didn't help.  I was so sorry to see this, it's happened but rarely and when these people that are in the minority but have so many things happen so soon have tremendous success when they keep with it.  I kept thinking of the potential of her new business.

I have a strong feeling I will hear back from her one day but the flow has been broken.  If you call a consultant or even make changes yourself and unexpected things start to happen, DON'T BACK OFF!  Keep up with the changes and don't let Feng Shui Scare you away!  It's certainly nothing to be scared of, it's the amazing power of Feng Shui.

FUN Feng Shui in New York City: What ELSE does a Feng Shui Consultant do?

You all know by now I love my "job" AND I love New York City.  Perfect combination for me!  Coming out of a consultation one day on the Upper East Side, I decided to walk back to Penn Station for my train home and thought of getting a "dirty dog" along the way  --  Hot Dogs from the carts in New York are called Dirty Dogs, I believe because the water they are in gets so dirty :)  But then you never know what you're going to run into.  I didn't get home until the evening because as I was walking, something caught my eye; and not being one to let anything get past me, I decided to go over and see what was going on.  Thank GOODNESS I had my camera because I can show it!  So what else does a Feng Shui Consultant do?  We run into the best things and have FUN.  I thought I'd share my afternoon through some shots I took:

Feng Shui Consultant, New York CityTents?  It was a Tuesday.  They must be selling some things, time to go investigate....

Feng Shui New YorkBeautiful Lincoln Center.  The elegance of that place amazes me, to date it remains the BEST tour I have ever taken and most people don't know about it!

Feng Shui Decorating in New York CityAnd a Shot of the Ballet.  Look at the day, it was just beautiful!

Feng Shui New YorkThere were a maze of tents, each one having unique, handcrafted items in almost everything you could think of.  This was an original piece of artwork that was dispayed outside one of the tents.  Price?  $6500.00

Feng Shui Long Island, New YorkI'm SO glad I stopped!  These animals were in a tent---and the last thing I would have expected to find!  They are Alpacas.  There was a woman there explaining about the lives of Alpacas.  I think I was more interested then the kids :)

Feng Shui Long Island Consultant, New York CityAre they CUTE?  They look like little camels.  Well, you wouldn't want to be a female Alpaca, here's a few facts I learned that day:  Alpacas are bought and raised for their fur.  It is non-allergic and used for many different things.  But the female is basically used to breed and have babies.  A Gestation period for an Alpaca is 11.5 months and two weeks after giving birth, they are bred again.  They can live up to 20 years but "only" breed for 12-15 of those years....which means they spend much more time pregnant then not.

Feng Shui ManhattanAlpacas are known to make humming sounds---except when they're mating.  When they're mating they make "singing" sounds......hmmmm, maybe they aren't so unhappy after all!

Feng Shui ManhattanThey ARE cute, aren't they?  Except if you touch their heads, they don't like that and just may spit at you if you do.

Feng Shui Long Island, New YorkHere is a person weaving the fur from the animals.  It's a tedious process that is done from methods used from long ago.

Feng Shui Consultations, New York CityThe finished products.  There are scarves, hats, and just yarn if you are creative enough to make your own things.

Feng Shui Long Island, New York CityOh, well, back to reality....one last shot of this beautiful fountain.  I always wonder how many movies were shot in front of it?  a few come to mind.

One of the reasons I love New York so much.  Who would have expected to find Alpacas by Lincoln Center?  Or anywhere in the City for that matter?  If you're ever in New York City, don't miss an opera, even if you think you won't like it..you will!  And don't miss the Lincoln Center tour.

So what else do Feng Shui Consultants do?  We get to have FUN!

A Feng Shui Haunting in Beautiful Huntington, Long Island? Or Something ELSE?

All of my posts are about actual events with my clients.  This one is difficult to tell; it is long and it was a powerful lesson to me of something I had never seen or heard of before.

I have been thinking recently and reading  A New Blog: Haunted Real Estate   a post by Mary Pope_Handy       and have visited her website many times in the past http://www.hauntedhouses.com/ when I was researching something or trying to find information about a particular type of haunting.  I didn't know it was hers until recently and didn't know she was on Activerain.

I did a Feng Shui consultation last year on a client who had a profound story to tell and the consultation has always left a very strong impact on me.  I tried to write an article about it, thinking it might help others but it never came out RIGHT.  Here's "Lucky's" story:

I received a call just about a year ago from a nice sounding gentleman with an accent I wasn't familiar with.  He called, he said, on the advice of this therapist who suggested with the situation he was facing in his home, he should contact a Feng Shui Consultant.  He'd never heard of Feng Shui but said he was getting desperate and needed help.

He had moved into a home just over two years prior from the time he called.  His wife had already had some issues, originally diagnosed as bipolar and they had a son who was just about 10 years old.  Not long after moving into the house, he said, he heard noises.  He only heard them at night and it sounded like his bedroom door was being opened and closed....though he could clearly SEE the door and it wasn't.

I am careful when interviewing a client, just as I hope they are when interviewing me and spoke with him at length, wondering if I was the right person to help him with this.  He further relayed that he had gotten the home as a foreclosure, having met the previous owner who was a woman with four small children whose husband had walked out on her---very sad circumstances of course.  But to Lucky, it was his first home and he felt incredibly blessed to be able to afford it.

Almost immediately after moving into the home, his wife became much worse.  She did not hear noises, she did not take any medication and according to my client, her behavior was becoming bizarre.  She was soon diagnosed as paranoid schizophrenic and was taping the walls and ceilings of the home and trying to cover every conceivable spot because she was SURE she was being "watched."

Lucky was, of course, concerned about her erratic behavior and its effects on his son.  Since she was resistant to being treated, he felt divorce was the only option and this saddened him greatly.  A year had passed, he had temporary custody of his son while the divorce was pending and met another woman.  She did not hear the noises he spoke of but did say the house had a terrible "feeling" inside.

Before deciding to try to assist him, I spoke to him at length twice and his new girlfriend once.  My concerns were that he was seeing a therapist and no one else heard these noises.  It came out during our discussion at his home that he was seeing the therapist because he felt terrible about the divorce.  In his country, it is out of the question yet he felt he had to for his son's sake.

Entering his home, I saw immediately that he was a gentile and concerned father and the circumstances he was under (now going through the divorce, fighting for custody and having difficulties with his new girlfriend) were upsetting him greatly.  As I began my walk through, he led me down a hallway where all the doors were closed and opened each one and explained whose room it was.  As he began to open one of the doors, I literally felt more anxious then I can remember feeling anywhere; it turned out to be the room his ex wife had moved in to.  All her belongings had been left behind and she was now living in an apartment he was renting for her.  The room just emanated negative feelings and vibrations.  As we went on to address the other rooms, his bedroom (where the noises were) was still filled with her things; they were also stored in his son's bedroom.  He mentioned that at the height of her illness, she would bang on his door at all hours to try and get in----and something "clicked."

We are always taught in Feng Shui to address "Predecessor Energy" of former occupants, although it is thought of more frequently if someone passed in the house or an accident had occurred---or the home had been left under negative circumstances as his was.  But this wasn't from that, this was the sheer energy imprint from his WIFE.  I speak of "magnified" energy often or energy intensified.  And realized that someone that has a condition such as she did (manic, highs and lows) would therefore create Intensified Energy so strong that it was indeed left behind.

I blessed the home that day and advised Lucky that he had to have her things removed and explained to him why.  Although he understood the reasons, I could see that he felt terrible as she didn't have the room for it.  But his court date was coming up and I felt it important that her belongings be brought back to her to decide what to do with them.

I got a call from him the very next morning.  He told me that it was the first night he had EVER spent in that house where he wasn't awoken by the noises...he had slept the night through.  It is the blessings, of course, and I reinforced the need to begin removing her things. On another follow up he told me that he felt better then he had in YEARS, he had slept every night through and was getting in early to work, allowing him to get home early and have more time with his son.  He said that the court had ruled in his favor, the divorce was final and he had gotten custody of his son.  He'd earned a promotion at his job and was thinking of taking his son to Disneyland.

The reason for this long, LONG post:  We were not taught to look at the energy of someone who has a mental illness such as his ex wife.  It certainly is magnified and intensified and something that should be addressed during a consultation.  I am thrilled with his results of course but more then that, it was another learning lesson in this life long process of Feng Shui.
