It's Redicules to Have all 5 Elements in Every Single Room Of Your Home

It's Ridicules to Have all 5 Elements in Every Single Room Of Your Home

This was a comment I read in an article not to long ago on the topic of Feng Shui (Environmental Psychology). "It's ridiculous to have all 5 elements in every single room of your home." Looking to the Five elements theory in Feng Shui, there is reason this principle says, "its suggested to have all 5 elements in each room." The reason is because Feng Shui, as well as as building biology and Biohilia Design, understanding it's mans inherit need to be surrounded by nature. Feng Shui also refers to this as, "letting the outside in."

Science is also providing evidence about nature being integrated into our daily lives promotes calming psychological and physical benefits. Here is an article to further expand on this portion of discussion in the post: How Nature Resets our Minds and Bodies

When integrating Feng Shui into your home, business, and lifestyle, of course we need to be practical. Naturally if you have a closet, crawl space, attic or basement that is not being used, the principles say it's suggested to incorporate the 5 elements within reason. It's suggested more so with the areas of your home that you are constantly utilizing. This is especially encouraged for occupants who are in the process of healing from the loss of a loved one, stressful situations, illness, etc.

This is when interior design ideas can step in to complement the Feng Shui principles. The use of artwork, certain suggested colors, objects, furnishings, appliances, structural selections, etc that relate the to the 5 elements will help bring in those natural elemental energies into the space in a concealed non invasive way. Feng Shui is an art and this is where that creative and imaginary mind must step in to envision the solution vs being so literal.
